"A cooked breakfast is always best. Why do we have to buy cereal Hermione?" Ron moaned as they went into a muggle supermarket to get food for that week.

Harry slowed his walking, hoping to avoid being pulled into another argument on what they ate.

Hermione rolled her eyes. "Ron, you cannot cook at all, Harry isn't used to cooking on an open fire and I have barely any experience of cooking before we had to come on this stupid quest. Be thankful I at least brought enough muggle money with me so we can buy food to eat." she started, lecture tones all in place as they headed through the shop, picking up things that they either knew how to cook over the fire or didn't need to cook as they went, keeping to a strict list, rationing their money so it would last at least a year if needed.

"But why do we have to get cereal, 'Mione? Most of it tastes like cardboard, especially that stuff you keep getting. Branflan, branflakes, whatever it's called." Ron carried on moaning as they headed to the cereal isle. "Why can't we get some other stuff for once? I'm sure Harry agrees, don't you mate?"

Harry sighed at being dragged into the argument whatever he wanted. "I prefer cheerios admittedly, but branflakes are better for us if we're on the run all the time." He put in, not wanting to take sides with either of his friends so attempting to be diplomatic.

"Why can't we just try one of those chocolate flavour ones this week? Coco pops look so tasty, and we can get them cheap, look. The price is only a tiny bit higher than the branflakes." Ron suggested, ignoring Harry's stated preference as he assumed Harry was on his side.

Hermione glared at him. "Because coco pops don't give you enough energy, or have enough fibre, and they rot your teeth. Just because it says chocolate flavour doesn't mean that it is good for you, Ronald." She insisted, picking up the packet and skim reading the nutrient information. "Camping for so long needs carbohydrates not sugar, besides, branflakes support the body and provides it with what's needed to start the day which cocopops frankly don't."

Harry looked between his friends, counting the seconds before he was pulled into the conversation again. "Harry agrees we should try coco pops, don't you Harry?" Ron appealed, really wanting to try the cereal.

"Can we just introduce Ron to cheerio's Hermione? They do give us everything we need for the day and it's at least a change from Branflakes for a week." He asked instead of answering Ron. If he wasn't going to be left out of it as he would have prefered he was going to at least suggest and option that neither of his friends had looked at yet.

Hermione looked at him for a moment, considering the idea. "I guess we could have cheerio's for a week, just this once." She slowly agreed, hoping it would be enough to appease Ron for the moment.

"What are Cheerios?" Ron asked, looking around for the cereal which Harry had just suggested they get.

"Cereal rings of different flavours and shades of brown." Harry replied simply, knowing the difference in flavour wasn't much between the rings but would be enough for Ron hopefully.

Ron looked at the box Hermione had just put in the basket. "Um, I guess we can try them for a week then, but I still want to try those coco pops." He assented finally, causing Harry to sigh in relief as Hermione rolled her eyes again.
