DISCLAIMER: I do not own Pokemon. I used art by Ken Sugimori for the cover image.
In summer, my antlers sprout emerald leaves
That greet the midday sun
And I bask in the warmth and smile to myself
Summer has just begun
I run through wondrous fields of scented
Flowers of every hue
I feel the soft grass on my hooves
And the sweet morning dew.
The trees are bare and barren now
The weather is dull and grey
This could only mean that Summer has gone
And Autumn is on its way.
My antler leaves turn reddish-brown
As I brave the autumn rain
However, all is not too bad
Since Winter will come again.
My antlers are cloaked in ice
My hooves are coated in fur
The lush fields ahead of me
Are naught but a whitish blur.
Sheets of snow cover the hills
Tiny snowflakes speck the skies
But I simply cannot wait
Until wondrous Spring arrives.
My antlers sprout tiny flowers
Pink and small and so sweet
When nature springs back to life
It feels like such a treat.
The midday sun returns to us
And brightens up our day
But soon, Spring will be over;
Summer will come to play.
