Hermione was fed up with the obvious sexual tension between Harry and Malfoy since they'd returned to retake their 7th year at Hogwarts. She could see they wanted each other but didn't want to give a friendship the chance and didn't know what to do about it.

Finally it got too annoying in one of their regular fights.

"I hate you Potter."

"I hate you Malfoy." Merlin their incessant hatred was annoying, but for some reason Hermione had Barney the dinosaur on her mind that day.

"I hate you. You Hate me. We're a happy family." She sang, moving between the two boys.

"With a great big hug" She threw her arms around Draco for a moment.

"And a kiss from me to you." She kissed Harry on the cheek.

"Won't you say you love me too?" Harry was laughing with her when she finished.

"Did you just imply I love that git?" He asked still laughing at the song.

Hermione grinned, "Nope, I decided you do. Besides being obsessed with him in 6th year and always having time to argue, insult, follow, or simply scheme against him, there's always seemed to be some tension of the sexual kind between you two and frankly it's annoying me now, so if you could hug, kiss and agree that you hate and love each other, I'd be very thankful."

Draco shrugged, nonpulsed by the song, and frankly shocked by the hug and Harry's interpretation of Hermione's song. "What nonsense are you talking about?" He sneered at Harry.

"A purple dinosaur from children's TV in the muggle world, who sang. 'I love you, you love me, we're a happy family, with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you, won't you say you love me too.' He was called Barney." Harry explained calmly for once. "So shall we follow Hermione's suggestion?" He added, opening his arms to invite Draco to have a hug.

Blaise pushed Draco forward inconspicuously, making Draco stumble forwards, only to be caught in a hug by Potter. "I guess that might be interesting." Draco said after a few moments steadying himself and registering it wasn't such a bad thing to be held by Harry.

"Good." Harry murmured, before sealing his lips on top of Draco's.
