"Jennie-fer, they're filming here!" my twin sister Jessica called.
"What are you talking about, Jessie-ca?" I asked. Madelyn and Alison who were also gathered around my locker.
"Jennie, I told you, Disney is filming a movie here! Isn't that awesome?" Jessica said.
"Awesome," I said. "When?"
"Soon," Jessie assured me. "It will be ah-mazing!"
"Totally," Madelyn said. Alison nodded.
"And, Maddie-lyn, guess what I heard?" Jessie continued. "Zac Efron is in it."
"No way!" Maddie said.
"Way!" Jessie nodded. She and Maddie proceeded to squeal at the top of their lungs.
"Aren't they totally nuts, Allie-son?" I said. Allie nodded and rolled her eyes.
By lunch time, the only words in the hallway where, 'Zac Efron', 'Disney', 'movie', and 'ah-mazing'. I'm not kidding. Finally, Principal McDonald made an announcement saying that yes, this was true, and would take place in two weeks.
2 WEEKS LATER…
"Attention, students," Principal McDonald said over the loudspeaker. "As all of you know, Disney is filming a movie. They will need Room 115 and Hallways 1B and 3D. Also, would the student in Locker 246 please come to my office immediately? Thank you."
"Hey, Jennie-fer," Madelyn said. "That's you."
"Yeah…" I said. "I wonder what I did."
"Oh puh-leeze," Maddie said. "I'm sure you didn't do anything wrong."
When I got down to the office, the secretary smiled at me. "You are a lucky, lucky girl."
Why, I wondered, am I so lucky?
"Ah, Jennifer," Principal McDonald greeted me. "I hope you do not mind that your locker will have pink vinyl on it for a few days."
"Um… I guess not," I said.
"Good!" he exclaimed. "That is excellent. We told them they couldn't paint it, but the vinyl will come off."
"So, your locker is going to be PINK for the movie?" Jessie squealed.
"No way, no way, no way!" Allie said. "Do you get to keep it?"
I shook my head. "It's vinyl."
"Ugh," my friends (and twin) sympathized.
"You should beg them to keep it on there," Maddie said.
"I know," I said. "I want to, but I don't have the nerve."
Jessie has nothing but nerve. She actually went to the Principal and begged him to let me keep my locker pink. Wow, right?
"What's the shyest girl at East High doing with a pink locker?" one of the snooty popular girls commented.
"Ashley Tisdale was here," I reminded her. "Her stuff was in my locker."
"Which one are you?" she asked, meaning that I sounded like Jessie. I took that as a compliment, smiled, and gently slammed the pink door shut.
