"They've found his letter's to Michael" Diane Screamed down the phone at me.

"They've what?" I said Breathless, I could tell she was on the verge of crying.

"They found his" she broke down.

"Hold on, Diane. Me and Aiden are on are way."

"Aiden!" I called.

"Yeah, Aly?" He appeared in the doorway. Of his crabby flat.

"They found his letters"

His face went through several emotions; confusion, realization and sadness. He remembered what I remembered, standing on the rooftop six months ago watching the towers collapse and knowing in my heart Tyler was dead.

"Holy s**t" He said and grabbed his coat. We took the stairs two at a time because the elevator was broken again. His curly hair bounced in front of my nose as we skidded out the door.

"I'll drive" we said at the same time. He threw me the keys, at least we probably wouldn't crash now. After Tyler died I got really close to Aiden, not in the whole Tyler's dead, I love you now type thing but in a you're the brother I never had kind of way.

I forced Dad's old car into reverse. And sped off.

"Can't you drive this rust bucket any faster" Aiden asked.

Tears began brimming my eyes. He put his hand on mine. I was breaking traffic rules, left, right and centre. But I didn't care, they had found one last piece of Tyler and I had to be there.

I skidded to a stop and we jumped out of the car. A sleek black limousine was pulling up on the other side of the road and Tyler's father jumped out. To me one of the saddest things about Tyler dying was that everything had just started to go right. His messed up life was being patched up. He had me, Aiden, his mother and Caroline before. Then his father came back to make things right.

The three of us pounded up the stairs. An official looking man stood in the living room. Caroline was in her school uniform. I joined her on the floor and reached up to squeeze Diane's hand. A tear ran down my nose and dripped onto my lap.

"Is everyone here?" The official looking man, who I assumed was a lawyer asked.

"Yes" Diane answered.

The Lawyer took a deep breathe and began to read Tyler's final thoughts:

Michael,

Things have started to go right, Dad is showing Caroline he cares, and Ally has forgiven me. Aiden is well, Aiden, he patched things up between us. I'm waiting with Jenine watching the blue sky. It looks like the start of a beginning, I'm not sure what of yet but it's a beginning. I hope dad doesn't mind that I've eaten all his pancakes, but old habits die hard. There's a plane droning in the distance ruining the perfect silence, but the beginning has started. Mom will be so happy that dad is paying attention to Caroline and might even take her to art shows. I hate the way you can't be here to see this. But I suppose I have to admit you're dead. Which kills me inside. Jenine is muttering on about planes flying to low and close to the building...

Jesus Michael the plane just crashed into the tower around ten floors below us. I'm not going to get out, I know that much. Jenine is screaming but all I can think about is, I said that it would be a new beginning, one without me.

I'm writing to you, Mom, I love you mom, you've done so much and i'm sorry you had to lose two sons.

Dad, Thank you for helping me make it right with Caroline and even if I can't be with you. She can be with you. Remember that.

Aiden, You jerk, you've been the best friend I could have asked for. We lived in a crappy flat, you didn't get up till two,, and I wouldn't change a bit of it.

Caroline, I love you, Remember that. You were the one thing that kept me going when Michael died. Your enthusiasm for art, kept me happy. Continue and follow your dreams.

Ally, My times up, but remember this, I lov...
