The spring sun was warm, but the soil was wet from the meltwater of the still persisting piles of snow which were melting at a decent speed. Degu crouched on the ground some distance away from his Master. They both were supposed to meditate, but Degu could not understand how his Master, who was leaning to a tall tree, could possibly sit on the wet and also cold ground. Therefore, Jedova meditated and Degu did not.

Degu remembered his friend, Larit Iol, telling him about the snowball fight she had had with her own Master on a snowy planet. There was not enough snow for that here, Degu knew, and Jedova did not seem like a person who would participate a snowball fight to him. But there was one mischievous idea which Degu could not resist.

Taking a quick glance to his Master to make sure that the man was still keeping his eyes shut, Degu took a handful of melting snow and formed a snowball. Making sure once again that the Jedova was still oblivious to the Padawan's doings, he gathered the Force to help him a little bit and then he threw to snowball at his Master, using the Force to correct its course.

Now it's right! Degu thought and pumped his fist in the joy of succeeding with using the Force that precisely.

The snowball hit right at Jedova's face and the melting snow ran to the shoulders and chest of the Jedi Master who did not react at all. He did not seem to have even noticed the snowball hitting himself.

Degu started to laugh almost hysterically. This was way funnier than he had thought it to be. He fell to his knees and tried to control his laughter, failing miserably.

His laughter stopped when he sensed the Force warning him about something approaching the back of his head. He turned to look at what was coming and got his eyes shut just before a snowball hit his face.

Degu opened his eyes, baffled. Who had thrown that snowball?!

Degu turned to look at his Master, seeing Jedova still motionless, meditating at the very same spot with all of the snowball Degu had thrown melted on him. Degu knew it could not have been him.

However, he was too far away to see the small smile which had just appeared on the face of the elder Jedi...
