"Hey Montana"
"What's up Danny?"
"Nothing. Just wanted to check we were still on for tonight"
"I don't think so Danny. Sorry"
"Oh no its fine. You're just tired right?"
"Yeah, sure"
Danny nodded towards Lindsay as he watch her gently push herself up from the chair, her baby bump clearly showing. Something was wrong with her and it upset him to know he didn't know what that was. Lately she was always tired he understood she was carrying his baby but she went out with Stella and Angell last week to the movies, and it hurt. It hurt to know she wasn't being herself. After all he had proposed in which she had declined, and he was genuinely over the moon about being a daddy Messer. It was his kid but the best thing was it was also Lindsay's kid. Their little baby. He watched as she walked past the glass windows one hand laid gently over her stomach protecting their little girl or boy. Danny just smiled that all he could really do.
Almost four hours later his shift was finally over Lindsay's had finished a couple of hours before his on the account of her being pregnant and still so willing to work. As Danny walked through the apartment door he chucked his keys on the table and walked to the bathroom getting ready to jump in the shower. Twenty minutes later he emerged clean shaven, washed and dressed, as he walked over to the fridge he pulled out a beer and went to sit on the settee. He looked around his apartment shaking his head and he turned on the tv. On screen appeared an old black and whit movie.
"It's all or nothing, you gotta choose."
"Then I choose you"
The man on screen scooped the woman in to his arms and kissed her passionately.
"Hmm. Go with your instincts"
With that Danny was up and was locking the door. Running down the stairwell where he jumped on his bike and began the short journey.
"Hey"
"Hey"
"Got any problems what so ever in your family"
"Danny, we've done this before"
"I know you said no. That's fine because I'm going to wait for you. I love you and you love me the whole lab knows about us, yet you still seem somewhat distant"
"Dan…"
"No let me finish, I love you so much, you know about Rikki, it was a huge mistake, because you're the one and even now you wouldn't be pushing me down the aisle but I understand you want our baby there and that's fine because as long as it with you I'll do it anywhere, anytime, anyplace. Although right now I'm having doubts that you're thinking the same way. Are you?"
"Danny"
"Lindsay"
"Shhhshhh My God of course I love you, me and you I'm in 100% but this baby is a lot, you know, it's big. I know I haven't been the same and I'm sorry but I've been doing a lot of thinking about my childhood and how we're going to bring this baby up and I'm confused and…"
"Linds don't worry, you're not in this alone. I'm here. I have a question the reason for me actually coming here as long as we were still good. Will,.."
"Yeah, come on Messer"
"Will you move in with me"
"Yes, I'd love to"
Danny gently embraced Lindsay taking care of her bump, he put his forehead against hers
"Does you new living arrangement help at all?"
"So much. I hate this apartment and yours is great, but we're going to have to move the pool table"
"Anything for you, but Montana don't forget that was were this started"
With that Danny placed his lips upon Lindsay as she gently backed towards the settee where they sat down in each others arms, both had on hand on their baby.
"Hey Danny I was watching this great movie earlier a black and white classic"
"Really, I think I was watching the same on"
With that so many problems had been made so much easier after all it was all or nothing and both of them wanted it all.
