Summary: The station scene from What Kate Did, from a different pont of view. And as usual, I do not own Lost, the characters or very much at all.

One Way To Tallahassee

So I was stood in line, minding my own business when this guy just pushes in front of me. I was about to give him a mouthful about what I thought of his queuing etiquette when one of the windows between came free. The young girl told me to wait one moment while she sorted some money so a glanced around. Some old guy with a bad comb over was to my left and to my right was a fairly petit brunette.

The young girl came back to the window, "Where to?" She said with a smile.

Damn I wish I wasn't skipping town or I'd be telling her 'Yours.' But no, I had to leave, "Tallahassee."

The girl nodded, blonde bangs covering her eyes, "Single or return?"

Just as she was asking I glanced over her the petit, and decidedly hot, brunette asked for the same ticket, "One way." I replied not taking my eyes off the girl beside me.

I slipped some money under the window to the blonde girl who had pretty much lost my attention. I saw out the corner of my eye her slip my change and ticket back to me. I smiled and thanked her, and was about to slide to the right window with the hot girl. But then the rude queue jumper sparked up a conversation with her. So I decided to count my losses and left, making a mental note to find her on the train to Tallahassee.
