I was in my room packing up my belongings when a knock on the door had caught my attention. "Come In." I yelled.

"Hey Em...can I talk to you?" Mike came in my room looking really nervous, and clamy. He's never like this, well he was earlier during the fight with Master Xandred but then again who wasn't?

"Yeah. What is it?" I finish zipping up my luggage and turn to face him.

"Well...you see...I..." He stops mid-sentence to take a breather. I walk from where I was standing and touch his shoulder reassuringly. Instantly I can feel the butterflies in my stomach, I can feel the color rushing to my cheeks but manage to, well stop it.

"Relax you can tell me anything. Just... take a deep breath and say what you want to say." I smile and hope that he relaxed, although by the look of his face he seems relieved and a little nervous, but more confident than ever.

"Emily, I like you. Like a lot, and I kind of wanted to tell you ever since our battle with Negatron." He rubs the back of his neck and finds the floor very interesting. "I guess what I'm trying to say to you is, I like you more than words can describe."

The room falls silent. At first I'm shocked. Nobody, and I mean nobody has ever told me they liked me or anything remotley similar, if anything I was always callled the opposite. Then I realise what he said. He liked me! Someone really liked me!

Without thinking I throw myself in his arms. I hold onto his neck and smile. I've never really felt like I belonged anywhere. Especially here, when the others advanced and I was still behind I felt like I was slowing everyone down, I felt worthless. Mike and I did talk but late at night I silently stare into the mirror and point out every single flaw. From my hair to my eyes to height, to my skin, my beauty sometimes I would mentally yell at myself for being clumsy. I don't let the others know, instead I put on a fake smile and be "happy" until night fell and the process would start over.

"Finally. I've been waiting forever!" I let go of him and playfully shove him.

"Wait you mean the feeling is mutal?" Mike looks a little taken back. I nod back in response.

"Really? I thought you would go for Jayden." He looks so confused it's funny.

"In case you haven't noticed Jayden is...well Jayden." I shrug and slide my computer into my carrier along with it's charger. I collect the envolpe I recieved a couple days before the final battle and slide it in my back pocket.

"Good point." He chuckles.

"So what now? Were all going our seperate ways, what happends to us?" I lean against my old desk and hold my carry-on in my lap.

"I don't know. We can always meet up but it's going to be a long drive for me." He looks down at my old bed and sighs.

"What do you mean "for me" I'm the one who lives in the country! It's two almost three hours to the city!" My eyes widen at the thought of having to sit in a car for two and half hours.

"That is why I'm going to drive up when I have enough money." He shrugs, I guess Mike didn't think this one through.

"What if I call my parents and ask them if you can stay with us? I'm sure they won't mind as long as you can survive my dad's death stares you'll be fine." I shrug.

"I would need my parents permission but I'm sure they'll say yeah so..." He drifts off slowly rubbing the back of his neck.

"Relax I can make them go crazy with my begging I'll meet you in your room after I'm done begging, which could be a while." I give him a quick kiss on his cheek before hurrying him out the door.

You all know what's next ;)

(please review it's my first fanfiction and it would mean the world to me...thanks!)
