Twisted - Prologue

The young girl wasn't expecting it at all. You see, the chances of him even coming back to the village where slim. She never prepared herself for his comeback; she never even believed he would come back!

Well, a small part of her believed that he might come back one day. A very small part of the kunoichi. And the way! Dragged and gagged, it was sickening to be even associated with the village, treating him like a... like a... Missing-nin... Sakura knew she was over-reacting. He did leave the village, him, an Uchiha, an avenger! He let the revenge get to his head, and this was what Sakura thought he deserved. Right? Sakura wasn't so sure; Sasuke had a way of doing that to her, making her believe one thing and even though she set her foot down and believed in it through the years, he mister big-shot comes and totally makes her question her own beliefs!

It was simply madness!

Sakura let out an angry sigh, staring at the ceiling of her small apartment. To her, it wasn't fair. To her, nothing was really all that fair; she'd have to deal. Sakura shrugged, what was so bad about interrogating Sasuke? Well, Sakura will tell you!

It was simply the way he stared at her the first time she'd come in. her pink short spiky hair in a messy disarrange, her green eyes filled with concern and sadness that he was stuck in such a place. But he... Look at her like he didn't know who she was! He'd glared and called her 'Haruno' which hurt worse then him leaving her on a bench!

Speaking of that day, Sakura wondered what was up with his last words. Sometimes, Sasuke could be the most confusing boy. And most of the times, Sakura believed him to have some sort of split personality. Hey, it was possible.

Sakura got nothing out of Sasuke, like she said before, he'd just glare and say 'Haruno; leave me alone!' Well, he more liked barked, yell, shouted, or hissed it. It made her want to punch the living daylights out of him.

She done so much when he was brought back all hurt and bleeding! She tended to his wounds and cleaned of his pale skin from the dried blood and dirt. Which was exactly what he smelled like. And all Sakura got, was a mean hiss.

Sakura moaned and rolled on her side, which was currently hurting like a bitch. Three days before Sasuke's return, Sakura had returned from a A - rank mission with Naruto and Hinata. She was exhausted, and hurt from head to toe. It even hurt to breathe for a little while. But that was two weeks ago, and the only thing Sakura was suffering with now was the increased soreness in her left side.

- Flashback -

''The appendix?'' Tsunade had asked her the other day.

Sakura shook her head, ''N-no, that's impossible, I take great care of myself, nothing dangerous couldn't have gotten stuck in my -''

''Just keep a close eye on it, if it's true, you'd be out for a couple weeks,'' Tsunade interrupted, looking up at her young apprentice. ''And remember; Sasuke is your responsibility. I trust you, Sakura.''

- End of Flashback -

Those words Tsunade spoke made Sakura have a tight feeling in her stomach. A feeling that was normally called nervousness. She didn't wnat to fail her master, but what could she do? Sasuke was making this extremely difficult for her.

Not that she would end up in the hospital and then escorted home, and then Sasuke would be in charge to make sure she got healthier... Not at all!
