Blue sighed, he hoped that Red was in. He knocked on the door, they hadn't spoken for ages now... what should he say? What would Red say? He knocked again. Where was he? Was he asleep? Or was he out?
"He's probably out, drinking again," Blue looked down, "Or maybe he's changed..."
As Blue walked away and stumbled on something. It was lying at the edge of Red's garden. It was what looked like a book but as Blue knelt down, he saw it was a diary. Blue carefully opened it. He saw there was only one entery in it. He could tell that it was Red's writing. It said:
'Blue can't ever know this because I never see him but I want him to know this...
I wanna hold your heart in both hands
Not watch it fizzle at the bottom of a Coke can
And I got no plans for the weekend
So should we speak then
Keep it between friends
Though I know you'll never love me like you used to.
I don't know what to do
Maybe I'll get drunk again
I'll be drunk again
I'll be drunk again
To feel a little love.'
Blue felt tears welling in his eyes, he wanted to keep this but he knew he couldn't...
Years later, Blue lay on his bed, he remembered it word to word even though Red and him hadn't spoken for years, he knew he'd always remember him...
