It's in these final hours, that I stand here.
The Moon descending towards the Earth, a demonic expression staining it's cratered face.
I stand here, frozen in place, reflecting on all that would be lost.
Anju and Kafei, reunited only moments ago...
Cremia and Romani, probably lying awake and frightened on the farm.
The Goron, Deku, and Zora people...
Especially the Hylians who had remained behind, perhaps to embrace their fate?
Or perhaps to fulfill some sort of duty?
Duty, that word rang in my head as I clenched my sword tightly.
Slamming it into it's sheath with a loud click, I pulled an Ocarina from it's pouch.
I put all my sadness, courage, and fury into the tune.
As I prayed to the Goddess of Time, thet answered the call.
A smile broke out on my face as the Imp hesitated, then let out a blood curdling cry.
The Four Giants stormed the Clock Tower, the ground shuddering as they approached.
They raised their arms, bearing the load of the celestial body, and shuddered.
A flash of light, and they had frozen themselves in time.
The Imp, however, refused to relent. After furiously ranting about his foiled plans, he was suddenly thrown aside.
The Mask had revealed it's true intentions, and had retreated into the depths of the Moon.
The Moon began to consume the tower, Majora planned to end it all, even if he went with us.
My courage wavered for a moment, then I saw the two Fairies reunite.
Not wanting to separate them, I charged toward the Moon's inhaling maw.
I awoke in a small field, Four children pranced around a tree at the top of the hill.
Each of them, had games for me to play. I played them, and they surrendered each a piece of themselves.
When they had all vanished, the Fifth Child sat at the trunk of the tree.
"You've played all their games, why not play something different?"
The child stood, a smile in his voice as he rocked on his heels.
"Let's play Good Guys versus Bad Guys."
The Four Pieces of the Children came to the child, and he handed me a mask.
A Dark Aura emanated from the Cursed mask, it's cold dead eyes staring into mine.
"You're the bad guy, and when you're the bad guy, you run. Okay?"
Majora had awoken, the battle had begun.
I tossed the Mask aside, and drew my sword.
My Courage had never wavered, and soon enough the Mask was defeated.
However, it's power only grew and it changed in shape and size.
He ran around the room, screeching with delight.
I slashed it's arms and legs as it leapt and laughed.
It collapsed once more, wearily climbing to it's feet, then transformed one last time.
I collapsed to the floor, broken and beaten.
The Mask laughed, and prepared for the final strike.
I rolled out of the way, jabbing him in the center of his chest with a Light Arrow.
His laughter faltered, and I stabbed him once more in the skull.
A scream, and light burst from every seam.
It was over, the Giant's had retreated, and the people were celebrating.
I smiled to myself, and made my way back towards Hyrule.
Navi was gone, I had finally accepted that.
For just like Termina, I had finally begun...
The Dawn of a New Day.
