Well, things could be better, Percy thought to himself. He and Grover were clean, the room was clean, everything was sparkling and all in order. But without Annabeth, it didn't feel right.
"Man, I really screwed up, Grover." Percy grumbled to his best friend.
"Yeah well...you two will work it out. You two always do."
"I sure hope so."
Grover cast his eyes to the ground, not sure what to say. "Well...I better let you go. See you around man."
"Yeah," Percy said, "see ya."
He sat down for a long while. He knew he had to think how to make this better. Maybe a present? That could work, but what?
*meanwhile*
"So that about sums up what Seaweed Brain did. What do you think?"
Reyna was contemplating what her friend had just told about the misadventures of the Greek water boy. "Well, it sure does sound like something he'd do." They both chuckled. "He's sick so yeah he should have slept and relaxed instead of playing video games and making a blue waffle mix explosion. Now should you have acted so harshly? I don't know. I'm not sure if anyone is to blame but no one is really innocent either. But knowing you two I'm sure you can figure it out. I bet tomorrow the both of you will be fine."
Annabeth thought about what her friend had just said. "Sooooo...you think I should do something to try and fix it?"
"I'm saying it wouldn't hurt." Reyna said.
"Alright well I guess I better start thinking up of something."
*back to Percy*
Well, after moving water into the fridge and keeping it in the form of a heart necklace, he got it to freeze. It was now a beautiful ice heart necklace. He thought it was beautiful and he thought Annabeth would love the architecture to it. He stated going towards Annabeth's dorm to give it to her.
*back to the Annabeth*
Annabeth was pretty proud of what she had created. She remembered how much Percy had loved the shield that Tyson had made for him and how it broke and he never got a replacement back. So, she thought that she could do something artsy and try to draw a replica for him. Now Annabeth was a really great architect, so she knew how to make art on a grand scale, but she realized that she was by no means good at drawing. Her final product (after many revisions) simply looked like chicken scratches thrown together drawn by a five year old. She wanted to try and make it better but suddenly Percy burst into the room.
"Annabeth! There you are!"
"Percy?!" Annabeth tried to hide the drawing as quick as possible. "What are you doing here? What do you want? Can't you see I'm busy?"
"Yeah Wise Girl you always are but I made something for you!" Percy threw out his hands to show the present.
"...you got me...water?"
"Huh?" Percy looked befuddled. Looking down into his hands, he saw that the ice heart necklace he had made had melted and unfortunately he didn't have the powers to change water temperature so extremely. "Oh...oh no. I swear it was something amazing! I-I-I-I made into this heart thing and it was frozen and I promise it was beautiful and everything but...oh never mind." He let the water fall to the floor. "I'm sorry Annabeth, I really am, that's all I was trying to say."
Annabeth started to laugh and Percy just gave his noraml confused look.
"Well," she said, "at least my present won't melt on you." She then handed the drawing to him.
"Oh! It's...um..it's...a drawing?"
"Ha yeah I know my drawing sucks, thanks for pointing it out doofus." Annabeth stuck her tongue out to him to show she was just kidding.
"Oh well either way I love it" Percy said.
"I loved your present too."
"So...are there still some blue waffles around?" Percy said with his signature grin.
"Hahaha! No we'll have to make some but I'm okay with that."
"Me too."
