"You may be wondering why I have gathered you all here today."
"Yes, Bill," Mrs. Weasley fretted as she knitted, "My potatoes are going to be burned."
"No, they're not Mum," Bill replied, "Besides, this is more important."
It had been exactly two months since the Battle of Hogwarts and the Weasleys were struggling to get back on the path of normalcy and cope with Fred's death. That was what had prompted Mr. Weasley's idea of Sunday dinner, all together at the Burrow. Hermione and Harry were of course included in this mandatory event.
"Well, what is it?" George asked at the same moment Ron proclaimed, "Bloody hell, get on with it!"
Bill looked around at his audience, Charlie, Ginny and Percy looked bored, Fred and Ron seemed irritated, and Harry and Hermione just appeared confused. Only his parents seemed to be interested in what he was about to say. Even his own wife seemed more interested in the potatoes' well-being that what he was about to say.
"Everybody just look at this picture." Bill dropped a photograph on the tea table and plopped down on the settee to view the others' reactions. Harry and Ginny glanced at each other apprehensively, it was a photograph that they had had Colin Creevy take at Hogwarts, to replicate the one Harry had of his parents. Photo Harry and Ginny slowly waltzed among the falling autumn leaves and smiled at the viewers. The Weasleys didn't know yet that Harry and Ginny had been dating. Hermione and Ron tried to stifle their snickers.
"Oh my," Mrs. Weasley gasped.
There was total silence before a collective roar broke out. "WHAT IS THIS? Ginny, you and Harry are dating?"
"Were. Were dating." Ginny smirked at Harry.
"Harry Potter, you broke up with our sister?" This was Charlie.
"Um, I can explain?" Harry stood up slowly.
"Harry you might want to run," Ron said helpfully.
"Gee thanks Ron."
