After winning the pokemon league aah was very happy with himself but his journey was far from over. One year later ash turn 11 and then started his next journey in next region he was on the next boat to that region with his friends misty and brock. Tracy decided to stay with Professor oak as his Apprentice and ash decide to leave all of his pokemon at oak's lab incase he needs them again even mew and ash pokemon are going to tried at the lab to get stronger. Ash now can capture more Pokemon but the only pokemon he didn't leave at oak's lab is of course pikachu. They are now getting of the ship and arrived at new bark town. Much to they're Delight now they are to meet an old friend of prof oak name prof elm. They found his lab but ash noticed some one was snooping around the lab. It was a red haired kid just about ash's age and he was very suspicious looking. Ash decided to confront him and say.

Ash said "Hey who are you and what are you doing sneaking around this lab?"

The red head kid said "Minding my own business something you should do to. Now scram!"

The red head kid then pushed ash away and then ran off. Ash wanted to give chace but then he came aross prof elm who was happy to see him.

Prof Elm said "Ah you must be ash ketchum I was expecting you."

He then took ash and his friends in his lab which he was more then happy to. He had heard of ash dafeating team rocket and winning the pokemon league and even has a legendary Pokemon. He explained that there's a Johto pokemon league on the way but ash need 8 Johto gym badges to enter much like the kanto league. Elm wants a favor to ask from ash he wants him to find a man named mr. Pokemon who has something for him and I'd ash does this he'll get a choose three of the Johto starters to whitch ash agreed. But before ash can go find who is in his own lab somewhere in route 30 ash must pick which Johto starter pokemon to got with him.

Prof Elm said "Here are your choices ash the grass type Chikorita the fire type Cyndaquil and the water type Totodile."

Elm said after showing ash the pokemon. Ash pulled out his pokedex "Chikorita, the Leaf Pokémon. Chikorita releases a sweet relaxing fragrance from the leaf on its head. Cyndaquil, the Fire Mouse Pokémon. Normally mild and even-tempered, Cyndaquil will shoot a scorching flame out of its back when upset. Totodile, the Big Jaw Pokémon. Its highly developed jaw is so powerful, it can crush practically anything. Trainers beware: this Pokémon loves to use its teeth."

Ash said "Pretty tough choice just though as the kanto starters."

Ash think about for a moment but after a while he said.

Ash said "I choose Cyndaquil."

Cyndaquil was very happy to hear that and jumped up to ash with a very happy cry.

Prof Elm said "A very good choice ash and you're going to need a new pokedex to go with you."

Elm gave ash a new pokedex with his new pokemon and later ash and his friends were off. But little do they now the red haired kid was listening in on they're talk with prof elm and he smirk knowing what he's going to do next.
