A/N: Hello once again. While I'm currently stuck on the next chapter for Split Destinies, I figured I might as well post up this other Cirque Du Freak/Legend of Korra story while you guys wait. Not much to give away in this prologue since I kept it at random dialogue that will be explored later. I'll probably work on this until I can get focused into writing the next chapter for Split Destinies. So I hope you enjoy this story as much as the other!
Prologue:
"— Shan, I know of a way to redeem the destruction you caused as the Lord of the Shadows."
"What is it?"
"Your spirit will be reincarnated into a new life. You won't have any memories of your past until the time comes that you must face the Lord of the Shadows in combat."
"How would that be possible? I mean, I had been the Lord of the Shadows!"
"I'm not sure, but it's the only thing I can think of to get you out of this place. You can take it or not."
"...all right...but this world has changed so much since my time. Can...you tell me what I'll be..?"
"Unfortunately, no. I cannot tell you. Whatever path your reincarnation takes will be of his own choosing. You won't be able to influence him in the slightest nor guide him."
"I guess that's the best I can ask for this moment...anything to get free of this place."
"Luck to you."
"...ugh, another of those weird dreams...they're starting to happen more and more lately. *sigh* Probably my overactive imagination. Well, at least I'm not going to be on duty today. I'm sure nothing important will happen."
A/N: Sorry if this prologue seemed a bit vague. I didn't want to give away too much, so it was pretty much all dialogue and no indication of who said what. Though, maybe it's slightly hinted as to who the speakers are. Also, on another note, I will NOT be using any of my OCs from Cirque Du Freak or Legend of Korra.
