Author's Note: Just had to do it…
Disclaimer: If I owned Soul Silver, this creepiness would have never been included in the game.
Ethan walked along the road leading out of Violet City with nothing on his mind. Even though he was excited to be traveling on his own, he was bored. Training all day and night to make sure his Pokémon were strong enough to beat his second gym leader, Bugsy, surprisingly got monotonous really fast. Pulling out his phone, he decided to call his new friend, Liz. The picnicker seemed like a very nice girl, and a smile came to his face at the thought of her and her sweet little Nidoran.
He dialed Liz's number and waited for her to pick up, whistling a tune as he did. After three rings, Liz answered with a cheery "This is Liz!'
"Hi Liz!" Ethan responded. "It's Ethan."
"Good evening!" Liz said. "Listen, listen! My Nidoran…" Her voice took on a dreamy quality, somewhat unsettling Ethan, though he chose to stay quiet. "It's… So pretty… And…" Liz giggled, making Ethan feel uncomfortable. "So awesome… Yes… But… Very much… Eeek!" She suddenly squealed, causing Ethan to jump in surprise. His Bayleef looked concernedly up at him, and Ethan reached out a hand to pet his head.
Liz kept talikng, acting like Ethan wasn't even on the line. "And… Lovely… Just ravishing…" Liz cried out, "Oh, too much!" and panted, suddenly sounding exhausted.
Covering the bottom half of his phone, Ethan looked at it, confusion and fear on his face. "What… What am I listening to?" Unsure if he should, he took his hand away from phone's lower half and held it up to his ear, scared to hear more.
"Hug it" Liz mumbled a tired tone to her words. "Sleeping… That's right… Pretty…" Liz sighed. "So nice… Cute… Oh!" She exclaimed, suddenly alert. "Look at the time! I chatted too long! I'm sorry I took up so much of your time! I love chatting!"
"It's fine," Ethan muttered, not really sure how to respond. He heard a click, signaling that Liz had hung up. He did the same, looking at his phone and slowly deleting Liz's number.
"Bay?" His Bayleef questioned.
Ethan shook his head. "I don't know, Bayleef… I'm not sure I want to know…"
Later that day, Ethan saw Liz on Route 32, and stopped moving. 'Wait for it…' Ethan thought. 'Wait for it…' Liz turned around, her back facing him. 'Now!' He sprinted across the ground, desperate to not be seen by Liz.
Ethan!" He heard her yell. "Ethan, is that you?"
'Crap crap crap crap crap!' Ethan pumped his arms and legs faster, flat-out sprinting now. "Never again," Ethan said. "Never again."
Author's Note: Yeah… Creepy, right? Most of the dialogue is straight from the game. Obviously, I improvised Ethan's words because the main character never talks. It's just… Why? Why would they put that in the game? It's so creepy!
