"You pl'yed a g'd g'me out th're," Sweden stated firmly, watching as Canada leaned against the wall with his hands covering his eyes, "You'll m'ke it to the f'nal."
Canada didn't say a word, feeling that familiar anger course through him; the same anger he had felt when America had beaten his hockey team during the Winter Olympics. However, he didn't let it control him like last time.
This was Sweden anyways. He was not America. He wouldn't react the same.
"Yeah," He mumbled, taking in deep breaths so he could control his rage. Sweden's boys had played a pretty awesome game, he and they didn't deserve any of his anger, "You played great, too." He reluctantly answered, shaking and trembling quite visibly. He wouldn't treat Sweden like America – he wouldn't swear and curse and threaten him until he cried.
Canada glanced up, his sight a bit blurry because he was shattered his glasses during the shoot-out when he had stomped on them in a blowout when his boys lost the shootout. Sweden was offering his hand for a handshake and Canada could not help but feel the bitterness bubble up in him.
Hockey was his game. It was his only time to shine, when the other nations noticed him and didn't mistake him for that Goddamn America.
"It's not over," Canada suddenly declared, grasping Sweden's hand in a firm handshake. Though Sweden's exterior didn't really change from its usual impassiveness, Canada could read his expression that he was slightly surprised, "I'll thrash whoever is next – Switzerland or America (but especially America), and then I'll come back from behind and win this damn thing – just like the Olympics!"
Sweden simply stared at him with those almost impassive eyes, but Canada could see a hint of excitement in those green-coloured orbs, "I'll l'k f'rw'rd to it." Sweden smirked and gripped Canada's hand tighter, squeezed, and let go. Canada watched him go and felt that determination build up in him once more. One part of him felt relieved that Sweden didn't shove it in his face like America would, but another part felt disappointed. He knew he be that much fired up should Sweden have shoved it his face, but he felt a calm sweep over him instead.
Oh, yeah – 'Watch out, Sweden,' Canada smirked, indigo eyes flashing darkly, 'I'll be out for revenge. And for the record, you had also better watch your back, America!'
He was going to win this thing again.
His boys would make sure of that.
Yeah, Team Canada lost against Sweden 6-5 in an epic shootout in World Junior Hockey Championships earlier today...
