Archiving: P&P, other's ask.
"Emily, what do you mean JJ left you?"
Emily took another drink from the rum and coke in front of her, and turned to face Garcia who was trying hard not to allow the profiler to see she already knew about her relationship with the press liaison.
"Garcia, don't play dumb. You knew JJ and I were together. I know you watch all the feed from the cameras. You had to see us doing it on her desk a few weeks ago."
Emily had to admit she found enjoyment in watching the computer genius blush and scramble for a response.
"I didn't watch I swear! I just... it was on my computer and… and it was like a… train wreck… I couldn't pull my eyes away? I have a weakness for brunettes!! Just don't tell Morgan!!" Garcia was a horrible liar and she knew it. "Besides, that's not the point. Why did JJ leave you?"
Choosing to ignore what Garcia had revealed, the brunette agent shrugged and stared at her drink. She had a suspicion she knew why JJ had left, after all, she had been distant from her ever since the woman she had originally replaced, had returned. JJ had told her not to worry, but Emily was a profiler and she could read JJ better than anyone.
"Have you ever noticed that I'm not the only dark haired agent in the office that JJ is always around?"
Garcia thought for a second before letting out an indignant shriek.
"You mean JJ and Elle?!"
Emily felt her stomach churn at the very mention of the other woman. She was jealous, angry and if truth be told, falling in love with JJ.
"I don't understand it. JJ kept telling me she loved me, but I think it was never really me. I wanted so much for it to work, but as soon as she came back into the picture, JJ started getting distant and avoiding me."
For once, the computer geek didn't know what to say. No words were needed however, when a familiar laugh was heard from behind them. Turning, Emily saw first hand her suspicions were correct. She felt the lone tear slide down her cheek, as finished her drink in one shot.
"I guess that answers that," she said to Garcia, before standing and throwing a few bills onto the counter.
Garcia watched the older woman walk towards the door, before quickly deciding to follow her. Shooting a glance JJ's way, she couldn't help but noticed for the first time how JJ looked at Elle; it was the same way she used to look at Emily. Sighing, she slowly walked the same path Emily had taken as she thought to herself.
Stupid Jayj…but if Emily's into blondes…well… you're not the only blonde in the office.
