If you hadn't

Disclaimer: I do not own Kyo Kara Maoh!

I.

"You know, Wolf, if you hadn't let Yuri go, you would still be in that unhappy engagement with him." Shori pushed his glasses up his nose, typing happily on his laptop.

The blonde demon raised an eyebrow at that. He took his eyes off the book he was currently reading and laid it on the Earth Maoh instead. "This is going where exactly?"

"Nothing. I just wanted to remind you." There was obvious amusement in Shori's voice.

Wolfram just gaped at the randomness of it all before mumbling a few profanities under his breath

He continued reading his book but still eyeing Shori from time to time.

II.

"Wolfram?"

"Yeah?" Wolfram did not even bother looking at Shori. He was too busy fighting a bowl of uncooperative noodles.

"If you hadn't let Yuri go, you would still be angry all the time because of his wimpiness."

"I'm angry now." Wolfram growled, throwing his chopsticks away before stealing Shori's fork, ignoring the strange looks the other customers were giving him. He ate a forkful of noodles and sighed happily. "That's better."

Shori could not help but laugh.

III.

"You know, if you hadn't let Yuri go, you would still be running after him while calling him cheater." Shori randomly blurted out while Wolfram and he were playing chess (Wolfram was winning despite the fact that he only learned about the game recently).

"If you're trying to distract me, it's not working." Wolfram absentmindedly told him, moving another chess piece. He grinned, "Checkmate."

Shori groaned in defeat.

IV.

"Wolfram-"

"Yes, yes, I get it. If I hadn't let Yuri go, I would still be a miserable and bitter man."

"No." Shori smiled, taking Wolfram's face in his hands. "If you hadn't let Yuri go, you would never have been able to go here to Earth with me and making me the happiest man alive."

Wolfram smirked, "If I hadn't let Yuri go, you would never have had the courage to confess to me."

There was silence.

Followed by a fitful of joyous laughter.

End.

Author's notes: Another story I made while procrastinating for a major exam. I've always had a soft spot for the pairing of Shori and Wolfram so I wanted to write something about them. Excuse my poor attempt at humor.
