I have recently published two additional chapters to my other story after keeping it on hiatus for a year, I wanted to let it go but Spashley haunted me and wouldn't let me go. For this story, another couple has been haunting me as well and I'm hoping a one-shot will silence them.
Non-Spashley, don't like, don't read and to those who do read...reviews or no, I love you all.
"Right Before My Eyes"
Madison took a deep breath and rolled her neck, trying to loosen the muscles in her shoulders. It had been a long day in the studio and she was looking forward to tonight. Well, maybe she was being hasty...she was looking forward to who she was seeing tonight but afraid of the reaction their "talk" would bring. If she took the time to admit it, she was petrified and that in itself made her scoff as she expertly navigated the Los Angeles freeway on her way home. Madison Duarte was not afraid of anything, the girl who had stripped out of her cheerleading uniform in the middle of the hallway of King High, toured with Timberlake, and released her own platinum album was afraid of nothing. Except finding out her feelings weren't reciprocated.
Two hours later, the penthouse that Madison called her home was softly glowing with candlelight and the dining room was set with a caterer's banquet of all the things Latina beauty could think of that her friend could possibly like.
The doorbell rang and Madison slowly exhaled, opening the door and gazing at the person who had stolen her heart over the past few months. The friendship that developed out of need and loneliness now pulled at strings much deeper in the formerly snobby girl's heart and seemed to have led up to this one moment...
"Kyla..." she said softly.
