I am bored. Again. So time for more one - shots! I don't even like one - shots. I like a storyline that I can follow. But unfortunately, I do not feel like updating any of my old stories. So, it's another one - shot. Oh well.
Connor dove from the edge of the building he stood on, and landed softly in a cart that was carrying a bale of hay. He landed with a small thud, but none of the people who crowded the street seemed to notice. Connor jumped out of the hay as a large group of people walked by, and stayed to the back of the group to stay hidden.
He slowly made his way across the street, towards a man with a black cape and a red coat uniform on. After months of searching, the general of the small red coat force that still occupied a small portion of New York would be brought to justice.
As the small group of people started to break off into different directions, Connor quickly sat himself down on a bench, between two men who were dozing off in the warm summer air. He sat there for a moment, waiting until a horse-drawn cart with more leaves and hay passed by. Connor quickly jumped inside, feeling the rotation of the wheels through the thin layer of wood underneath him.
He jumped out again when the cart started to turn down another alley, and stopped at a nearby food vendor. He looked around, acting like he was browsing for the vendors sales, but was quickly scanning his surroundings. Their was a few people who were gathered in small crowds between the captain and himself, but Connor knew that would not pose much of a problem. The captain was as good as dead.
Connor set off towards the man, guiding people out of his way as he walked. The captains back was to him, and he was talking with one of his subordinates. Connor stopped a few feet from him, leaning against a wall, waiting for the captain to move away. It would be considerably easier if he was not with one of his soldiers, but Connor was prepared to dispatch them both if he had to.
The day dragged on, Connor standing against the wall for the most of it. As night fell, neither the man nor the soldier had moved, and Connors patience had run out. He walked at a brisk pace towards the men, and stopped no more than a foot in front of them.
"Can I help you with some -"
He was cut off as both men received blades to the stomach. They slumped to the ground, blood starting to ooze from the wound. Connor quickly ran down the alley, and disappeared into the night.
I have to say, I would never be able to pull this off if I were playing. I am the kind of guy that walks into a fort and punches the first guy that is unlucky enough to be there. I don't use stealth as much as I should. I guess that I should work on that...
