Prologue: Second Chance
Yato watched as Rabo's body began to slowly breakdown as his life faded from it. He only looked on with a touch of sadness in his eyes, he could only look on and not ease the calamitous gods pain as he died. "For now, I go first, god who shares the same fate as mine" with his final words Rabo's completely disappeared leaving behind only his clothes and his ruined shrine.
As all the gods who inhabited the world looked on as the violent storm slowly cleared and the sun peaked out welcoming peace, which followed Rabo's death.
"Yatogami…no Yato he is not the god I used to know, why has he lived on in such a way?"
Rabo floated through an endless dark void. He only thought of Yato he couldn't help but compare him to the way he once was. Yato had been just like him killing and massacring to survive, that's how it had always been in the past, but now Yato was different he had companions, he had people who trusted him. Rabo could only float through the void he didn't bother looking around for he knew where he was going. He would return to the far shore once more and enter slumber.
"I would give anything to live as he does" Rabo imparted those words as he closed his eyes ready to embrace the slumber of the far shore once more.
"You who drifts endlessly, with only sadness and regret"
"Who are you?" Rabo asked wearily to the disembodied voice. He opened his eyes slightly hoping to see where the voice came from only to find the darkness he had been drifting in. Rabo opened his eyes completely to find that the world he was drifting in was getting brighter and brighter until he was completely consumed by the light.
"Live…"
