As I walked to school I heard my friend Jack come on his new motorcycle. I wonder how he got that? I wish I had something like that...
"Hi Sylvan, wassup!" said Jack.
" Nothing much," I answered.
"It's my birthday today. Want to come to my party after school?
"I wish but I can't, the orphanage wants me back right after school is done, so, no. Sorry."
"What? Why?"
"Someone getting adopted tonight so we all need to clean up,"
"Well... I hope they pick you. Bye!"
"Thanks..I think." I muttered under my breath.
That night, as I walked into the orphanage, I could feel the buzz of excitement. Most of the kids already washed and were very clean. I ,of course was smart and took a shower that morning so I didn't need to rush. I ran to my room grabbed a book and waited for all this to be over. Why? Nobody ever picked me. I wasn't a happy looking person. To other people I was doom and gloom. I sighed I wonder what my parents would look like...
That's when the door opened and a strange looking man came in. He was big and strong and he had a scar on his face. He looked evil with a creepy happiness around him. The caretaker was talking to him. I ignored them until I heard...
"What about that child?" The man asked.
"Oh, he's usually reads book s and keeps to himself," the stupid caretaker said.
"Can I adopt him?"
"Oh...okay. Sylvan please come here."
I didn't believe it. I was really doomed for life. I really hope this crazy guy was nice. I walked over to them.
"Sylvan, pack your things, you've been adopted." To death I thought. I ran to my bed and grabbed my back pack which is packed already. As I grabbed a few more things the caretaker and the man went to the front desk to fill out some paper work. I ran to follow them.
Usually it takes awhile to fill out the paper work but when I got there the man was ready.
"Ready to go to your new home?" He asked.
"Umm...yeah," I replied.
"Good," he said," Oh by the way you can call me Silas."
"Just Silas?" I asked.
"Yes, just Silas," he answered. We then got into the car and rode away to my new home...
