Star Butterfly gracefully danced into Marco's room with her tip toes, imitating ballet as she bended down and expects a laughing and clapping Marco.
Nothing happened.
Instead, she saw a hard-thinking Marco.
"Marco! What happened!?" Star asked, extremely worried at her friend. "Are you sick? Why are you thinking so hard. Um...um..is there anything that will make you seem happier. Puppies and unicorns or something?" Marco looked up and realized that Star was right beside him. He blushed and looked down. "No,it's just...Jackie got a boyfriend and I-"
"She WHAT?!"
Star knew that Marco had been crushing on Jackie for ages. Star's pretty sure that Jackie knows it too, because of the obviousness, but suddenly breaking a man's heart and not even telling anything? And that man's Marco?! Star was not going to let it slide that easy.
"I'm going to have a serious talk with her." Star said before turning to leave the room. Marco pulled her arm and made her sit on the bed with him. It made Star's heart dance and deep down, Star knows exactly why. Still, she was too afraid to accept them knowing the fact about Marco and Jackie.
"It's not that, that I was thinking."Marco said in a soft voice. "I..I realized that I don't feel hurt at all. Like, at all." Star was confused. "So do you like Jackie, or do you not? This is so much information to process.." Marco smiled. "I liked her. I think that fact changed when I met you, Star."
Star blushed. Holy cow, Holy cow, Holy cow! Star thought., Is he confessing? Is he?! If he is, thank you so much, Unicorn lord! "Marco..does that mean.."
"Star, I know this is gonna be totally weird and awkward but.." Marco began, blushing to the tipes of his ears, "I think I have a thing for you."
Star jumped up from the bed and squealed, making Marco jolt and confused. She then hugged Marco with all her might. "Oh my puppies, I love you, Marco!" Marco blushed and hugged her back. It was a dream come true for the two of them. Neither of them thought it was possible due to the situation about Jackie but they finally made it come true.
Marco and Star looked at each other before Marco closed the gaps between them with his lips. Star was surprised at first but soon melted into the kiss. They broke apart, gasping for air. They both smiled at each other and Star tackles Marco into another big bear hug.
Next morning
"Marco, Star, your breakfasts are ready and OH MY-"
Mrs. Diaz stopped dead in her tracks as she saw Star and Marco walking down the stairs together, with Star clinging onto Marco's arm and Marco blushing red.
"So, mom..uh..we have something to tell you about us. We became..uh..um.."
"A COUPLE! BOYFRIEND AND GIRLFRIEND! PARTNERS IN LOVE!" Star bursted before snuggling into Marco's chest. Marco blushed madly and just beamed in delight.
"This calls for a CELEBRATION!"
