So this title "The Moment" comes from the series I did on a church weekend retreat. It was REALLY good but this story has nothing to do with it other than living in the moment.

Tonight was team movie night and they were watching How to Train Your Dragon. Natasha had been visiting Clint and one of the kids had been watching it. So for lack of a better suggestion they went with the 2010 Dreamworks Animation movie.

So far everyone was enjoying it. Natasha found herself relating to Astrid a lot of the time. Sam had made it clear his favorite character was Toothless on more than one occasion. Rhodey likes how Hiccup made Toothless's new tail but spent quite a bit of the movie imagining how he could've made it better with and without current technology. Steve was on many levels relating to Hiccup. And Wanda was simply enjoying the whole thing, cuddled up in a soft red blanket next to her favorite person in the world. The Vision.

They had been more than friends for quite some time now. It surprisingly hadn't really affected the team NOW but before there was this awkwardness that caused problems. Now it wasn't there because the two felt comfortable being with the other. Most of the time if you saw one, the other wasn't far behind.

She was greatful for him, she wouldn't lie. He had done his best to help her through loosing her brother and to just have someone trying, just knowing there was someone there, helped more than anything. It helped her realize she wasn't completely alone in the world. So, in return, she felt she had to do something for him. That came in the shape of showing him everything she knew and liked about the world. Like music, foods, places, plants, animals, and things like that.

The best part though? Was seeing the others exchange money. So far Natasha and Steve had been the two who were handed money the most. It even became a guessing game between Wanda and Vision when they were wondering who would win. It was Natasha and Vision had won, earning him a playful smack on the arm from Wanda.

She, now, randomly remembered that and smiled. But as soon as she felt her mind wandering she tried to ground herself in the moment.

See ever since Pietro had died she realized their were many gaps in her memories about him. They were all good but whenever she tried to remember something he had said about something crazy or ridiculous or even serious, she found herself unable to remember yet remembering what she had thought. Normally it was the other way around but...

That's why she was trying to live in the moment. No matter how big or how small it was important later. She did realize that she wouldn't be able to remember them all but she had to try. The soft feeling of the blanket, the warm feeling in her stomach when he put has arm around her, how comfortable his shoulder was, the dark room with only the light of the tv to show the way around the tables and chairs so that your ankles didn't fall victim to them, and the sappyness of the romantic flight scene.

She'll probably forget what movie they were watching, or the smell of the popcorn, or the sick jokes her team, her friends, were making. But she'd never forget how it made her feel. To be with people who she meant something to.

That's mattered right?
