Two men in uniform, are walking down a guarded hall carrying a briefcase, according to the badges attached to the pocket of their uniform they were U.S military soldiers. They entered a highly secured room seeing as they had to flash their badge at the guards at the door despite their status. Once in the room, the men laidthe briefcase on the table, they entered the passkey on the briefcase to open it in order to make sure all the contents were in there. It has a syringe with blue liquid inside and some sharp objects with gold encrusted handles and a file labeled top secret. After checking it they put in a metal vault and use a combination to seal it before heading to the president's office. As they entered the president stood greeting his soldiers as they joined their peers, The president waited until they took their place amongst the other soldiers before giving his speech.

"Everyone today marks a new era. At precisely 21:30 I will be making a very important announcement regarding the future of the United States of America. It is important that all are here to witness this opportunity that will change the world forever! So make sure everyone is in attendance of this officer's ball. Dismissed"

With that the room was then cleared of everyone and the president had taken his seat again as the doors to his office were closed behind the last man.

The ballroom was full of people exchanging pleasantries and dancing together to the classical music played by the orchestra, all dressed in formal attire, the men in tuxedos and the women in various colored and designed gowns. Most were enjoying the wide spread of food laid out for them on the buffet table along with an open bar, so drinks were flowing freely.

It was now 20:30 Chris enters the ball room in a dressed in a black tux, despite being invited to a ball at the White House ball Chris remained unshaven, light stubble covered his defined, chiseled jaw and full lips. His deep brown eyes scoped around the room as if strategizing battlefield movements. It's been a while since the death of his friend BSAA Operative Piers Nivans, he had become more stand-offish. He nervously ran his fingers through his smooth short, dark brown hair, remembering after that he had probably messed it up, so he began lifting the front of his hair back into the way it was before.

He was soon joined by Jill who 'hadn't changed' as Chris thought, she still looked the same stunning brunette as before only instead of her normal combat clothes she was wearing a midnight blue evening gown with rhinestones above the dropped neck line.

"I hate these events" Chris grunted causing Jill to roll her pale blue eyes at her former partner's actions. When returning her attention back to Chris she noticed his fumbling around with his tie messing with it until it no longer resembled a tie, in frustration he gave up removing it altogether.

"I don't like them either but this is important. So try and suck it up okay?"

She waited for a confirmation from Chris but received only silence, with concern she followed Chris's gaze to find out what was distracting him from the task at hand. The look of confusion disappeared once she noticed his gaze locked on Skylar Greene. The beautiful Skylar was the one person that could always pull Chris's attention away from whatever needed to be done, she was one of the most beautiful women Chris has ever claimed to see, looking at her Jill couldn't deny it either, the woman's ash blond hair fell smoothly in waves that reached a few inches below her shoulders, her fringe covered one of her vibrant blue eyes that were framed perfectly by her long thick eyelashes, the girl did not wear much makeup like most of the women there as she didn't need to, Her small nose was perfect in shape which was why more than often women would come to ask her if she could refer them to the doctor that worked on her nose, but were let down the moment she told them it was her own. Her lips were full and lush, her full pink lips worked beautifully against her softly defined jaw. Her long silver chiffon dress with a long intricate design on the side was fit snugly against her perfect figure, her small waist stood out against her full bust and tight backside. Most of the men in the room couldn't help but gawk at the beauty.

"How about you take a picture it last longer" Jill sighed noticing Chis's gaze did not falter from the woman.

"Stop staring and go say hi" Jill said giving him an encouraging shove towards Skylar. Chris nodded slightly as he made his way down the stairs and through the ballroom.

Chris wasn't the only one who hated events like these, Skylar shared the same disdain for them as well. She feels uncomfortable wearing long dresses anymore, she finds events like these a worthless waste of time not to mention a bore, even now she's currently listening to somebody drone on about his mission he just completed.

In effort to get the man to notice her lack of interest in his conversation she continued to yawn subtly hoping he would get the hint, to her disappointment the man carried on with his rambling not noticing a thing she did, at this point she just wished someone would take her away from him and from this darn event. She breathed a sigh of relief when she heard footsteps approaching but before she can turn around to thank the person she hears her name being called which caused her to freeze in her place.

"Hi Chris" The man says and shakes Chris's hand, Skylar soon followed turning around to see him standing close behind her.

"Hello Chris" Skylar said, her arms wrapped around herself.

"Hi Skylar. It's been awhile" Chris said.

"Three years is not awhile" Skylar snaps out of no where.

"Can we talk? In private" he adds, looking at the man.

"There's nothing you can say to me that you can't say in front of John"

The man glared at her obviously offended.

"My name is Jason. Looks like you two have some unfinished business so I'm going to go. Nice seeing you again Chris. Skylar" he says before walking away.

"You look amazing"

"What are you doing?"

"What do you mean?" he asked, genuinely confused.

"You're talking to me like were friends"

"I miss you. I'm so…"

Skylar puts her hand up to stop him from speaking further.

"Don't you dare. You left me, remember? I don't want your apologies or your small talk so why don't you leave me the fuck alone" She said angrily.

She's about to walk away when Chris grabs her arm.

"Please don't walk away" He pleaded

"Let go of me" She said, pulling her arm out of his strong grip.

The conversation was soon interrupted by two individuals, one of which Chris knows, quite well, his dirty blond hair straight and parted on the left as the right side was slightly longer in the front than the left, however both sides longer than the back of his hair and looked as if he had just ran his fingers through it. His defined, strong jaw was very lightly stubbled, lighter than Chris's even, itappeared as if he hadn't shaven that morning either. His small yet full lips curled in a smile as he greeted his old friend.

The woman however, Chris had only seen her once, back in China, she was the woman Leon was with when they both went to confront Ada, chris couldn't deny the woman was definitely beautiful , her short brown layered hair was losely tangled in soft updo and her brown eyes that matched his own were wondering between him and Skylar, she most probably saw what transpired before they arrived.

"Leon" Chris said shaking the hand that was offered to him by his friend.

"Long time no see Redfield" Leon said ending the handshake as he then extended his hand to Skylar. "Skylar? God how long has it been? You look amazing" He was obviously surprised to see her there, it was a while since he last saw her, coming up on three years. From the look on both of their faces Leon sensed something was off "Are we interrupting something?"

"Actually"

"No" Skylar and Chris said simultaneously

Sensing the tension, Helena decided to break it.

"Hey Skylar. How about we go to the ladies room and freshen up" She said.

Skylar smiled at her gratefully as Helena offered a polite nod and smile at Chris which he returned.

"It was nice seeing you again Leon" she said, giving him a hug before Helena wrapped her arm around Skylar's leading her to the womens room

"Nice seeing you too" He spoke loudly making sure she heard him before turning back to Chris.

"Hello? You still here buddy?" Leon said when Chris didn't look at him.

Chris turned around smilingat Leon who seemed concerned, his brows furrowed together as it looked like he was trying to read Chris's facial expression

"How have you been?" Chris asked trying to recompose himself.

"Not bad. What was that between you and Sky?" Leon was blunt in his questioning which caught Chris off guard.

"It was nothing... really" At this point Chris was trying to reassure Leon but he knew that if he didn't change the subject and pull Leon's attention away he would pry more. "What do you think is this big announcement?"

"I have no idea. Must be really important to call us in on our day off" Leon replied.

The awkward silence persisted between the two, as Chris recalled the last time he spoke to Leon which was when he delivered the news of Ada Wong's death, he wasn't sure how to go about speaking about it.

"About Ada..." Chris finally said.

"What about her?" The smile Leon had disappeared quickly at the mentioning of her name.

"I wasn't the one who shot her i promise you. I tried to bring her back alive. When we confronted her she was shot by someone in a helicopter. I'm sorry" Chris dropped his head in shame, knowing he couldn't save the person his friend cared so deeply about.

"It's ok Chris, That wasn't Ada, she had nothing to do with it. It was a clone or i don't know what that was" Leon confessed "Ada's alive"

Chris's eyes widened with shock, clones were something he hadn't considered and of course why would he, but that's not what mattered now, what mattered was she wasn't dead.

"What? When? You've seen her?"

"Yeah, she helped us take down Simmons then disappeared... as usual" Leon sighed with disappointment

"Any leads?"

"If I had any I probably wouldn't be here" Leon said smugly

"Who are you kidding? You're all about the rules" Chris said.

"You got me there" Leon said.

Skylar and Helena came back from the bathroom where Skylar stood beside Helena, farthest from Chris. Leon noticed the twitch in Chris's jaw

"Chris, This is was my partner, Helena Harper, Helena this is an old friend of mine Chris Redfield" Leon had forgotten to introduce them, but fact of the matter is he wanted to break some of the built up tension

"Yes, I remember you. You were with him during the attack in China" Chris said extending his hand to Helena which she quickly shook smiling at the man.

"Yeah... Crazy times" She said.

The moment ended when the president along with two guards entered the room. Everyone had dropped whatever it was they were doing to greet the man by clapping their hands as he stood at the announcement platform.

"Welcome everyone. I wish to begin by saying that I'm proud of every single one of you" As he praised everyone in attendance's accomplishments, they all began to clap.

"Thank you for all your efforts in making the U.S.A a safer place. I hope what i am about to announce will prove to you that that is my intention as well. For too long the U.S.A has been exposed to numeral viruses that transformed our beloved family members, friends and loved ones into monsters, we have lost too many men fighting for our country, we have lost too many people to worldly threats! I say no more! I have lead a team of researchers and i am happy to announce, we have found a cure, this cure will rid the world of peril once and for all. Please be patient as the cure will be presented to you shortly as for now, continue celebrating!" he said saluting everyone before leaving the podium.

Chris turned to Skylar the moment the president finished his speech

"Sky…"

"Don't talk to me" she said walking by Helena who immediately joined her not knowing the reason why she was storming off.

"Women" Leon commented as he saw what happened.

"We are friends. I'll be bluntly honest"

"Wouldn't have it any other way"

"You need to let her go, Ada doesn't care about you as much as you do her. You need to find someone that cares for you just as much as you care about them"

"Where is that coming from? And what about Skylar?" Leon was getting defensive, he did not see what brought this about but he also didn't like where it was going.

"What about her?"

"When are you going to move on from her?" Leon accused

"This is not about me. Plus Skylar is not a bad person"

"Neither is Ada! she just…" He was about to continue but stopped mid-sentence when something, or someone caught his eye. A man entered the room, he was quite ordinary, the only thing that truly stood out about him was his navy blue suit.

The woman he was with however, that was another story, Leon couldn't peel his eyes away from her, She was stunning, her eyes were the palest green he had ever seen, her hair was a dark shade of Mahogany that contrasted beautifully against her pale skin, it was also very thick and long reaching her mid-back, she had half of her hair curled and in a well hidden ponytail that dropped down to joining the bottom half of her hair making it look even thicker and goddess like, of course if not for the change in color on the bottom half that had been dyed black. Her lashes were already long and thick but was exaggerated by the subtle makeup she wore, shades of shimmering champagne colors on the lids of her eyes only made them pop and sparkle. Her nose was a tad long but thin and small, needless to say it was perfectly shaped and matched beautifully with her well defined jawline. His eyes lingered on her large, pouty lips, they were seductive as he noticed her speaking to the man she came in with.

The two walked down the stairs only for him to get a better view of her, all of her as she was dressed in a sexy figure hugging long black dress that revealed curvaceous lean figure, her bust was full as well as her tight backside, her waist was distinctly smaller, the dress was encrusted with what looked like real diamonds all the way to the extensive leg slit in the side of the dress. Chris smiled at the deer in the head light look on his friends face. The man that was with her walks away leaving her at the bar, as she began

"Go ahead. Talk to her" he said shifting his eyes between Leon and the woman at the bar.

Leon smirked at his friend forgetting the conversation they were in the middle of as he slowly walked up to the unsuspecting woman.

"Come here often?" Leon began with causing the woman to look at him strangely. Leon mentally slapped himself, He was a bit rusty when it comes to the whole flirting thing.

"You mean the white house?" She asked, raising a brow

At this point he couldn't help but laugh nervously at the situation. She looked him over before smirking seductively at him

"So… This is usually the part when you offer to buy me a drink"

"Of course… I'll have a scotch neat and for the lady…"

"Just water"

"I thought you wanted me to buy you a drink?"

"Is water not a drink?" She was toying with him at this point

"I… I can't really find a flaw in your logic" He said, a smirk on his mouth.

She looks down, a small smile playing on her face.

"I'm Leon by the way" He said as he reaches out to shake her hand.

She looks over Leon's shoulder and sees the guy she came with looking at her

"Ok Leon… Let's go dance" She said, grabbing his outreached hand and dragging him to the dance floor. She puts one hand on his shoulder and the other in his hand. Leon grips her waist with the other and they start dancing close. He twirls her around and then pulls her back in. She starts twisting her hips slowly against him, looking into his eyes the whole time the same seductive smirk playing on her face.

"Not that I'm complaining, but I know nothing about you. You could be a murderer. You could be out to kill me or something"

"Oh yes you have discovered my plan. I'm going to kill you right here in the middle of all these people. They will never suspect a thing" She said feigning mischief

They both laughed and he held her a little closer and stared into her pale green eyes.

She looks over his shoulder and sees the guy she came with upstairs watching her. When he sees her looking her tilts his head to call her over.

"I need to go to the ladies room; excuse me" She let go of Leon but not before winking at him as she headed upstairs

"I'll be here… waiting" Leon said to himself, trying to get his heartbeat back to normal.

Sia looked from left to right before going up the stairs. She stopped at the nearest wall after the stair case and peaked around it only to see two guards. She snuck past them and went to the next room. She entered the security room and slowly snuck behind the guard covering his mouth with her hand and injecting him with some kind of serum. She turned the chair around getting closer and closer to the drugged guard, the guard was having difficulty standing straight due to the medication, he was too heavy to continue holding up as he began to wobble the woman let him drop to the floor. 'Well shit' She thought to herself, she was forced to drag him to the nearest seat, with some effort she managed to sit him down as she exhaled in relief.

"What is the code for the safe?" she asked.

"The code is 2534576" he said in a daze.

"How do you turn off the camera?"

As he talks she followed his directions, the screens show the cameras going static then blacking out completely. She then takes out the security tape of the room she was currently in and replaced it with a blank one.

"Thank you" She whispered cheerfully in his ear before knocking him out. The woman walked out casually as if nothing had happened, a grin placed on her lips. She continued walking down the hallway only to find two guards patrolling, she quickly turns to hide behind the closest wall, awaiting their disappearance. As soon as they were out of sight she quickly entered the large door that eventually led to yet another long hall, at the end of the hall a small door was located. She paused for a moment realizing there was something off about this hallway, she quickly pulled an extremely small spray can from the strap on her unrevealed leg. As she sprayed the contents of the can red lines appeared.

"Lasers, well this should be fun" She said sarcastically to herself as she rubbed her temples. With a deep breath the woman gracefully flipped past all the tricky lasers avoiding each and every one, then with a gloved hand and a hair-pick she managed to pick the lock opening the door. There she found the vault where the combination was needed and once the combination was added the vault opened. The woman then proceeded to remove the contents of the briefcase, placing it in place of the serum she used earlier and leave swiftly out the window.

The man in the navy suit had been waiting outside the window in a black Lamborghini as if it were planned, she quickly entered the car as they both drove off.

Chris walked over to Skylar who was drinking at the bar.

"Mind if I sit?"

Skylar rolled her eyes but doesn't reply. Chris took that as an acceptance to his request and sat beside her . They sat in silence for a while before Skylar who was irritated with the man's presence decided she should be the one break the silence.

"Where's your girlfriend?" she asked, drinking a long pull of her wine.

"Jill isn't my girlfriend" he said.

Skylar laughed mirthlessly, 'if she wasn't his girlfriend then why did he come with her?' she thought to herself, just as she was about to say something she was interrupted when the president came back in. Leon who had been waiting forever by the bar for the woman to come back decided to join them seeing as she was no where in sight.

"Hope you all are enjoying yourselves this evening" The president began.

Everyone around broke out in applause and cheers

"I brought you here not only to congratulate you all but to show you the future of defense against terrorism in the United States"

Two guards appeared with the suitcase and made their way to the president

"I present to you OUR FUTURE!" The president said excitedly gesturing at the briefcase.

When the president opened the suit case it was empty. The whole room erupted in gasps and harsh chatter. The guards scurried around looking for the contents of the briefcase.

Chris, Leon and Skylar quickly rushed to the security room only to find the guard passed out. Chris and Leon began looking around the controls for anything that could tell them what the hell happened, while Skylar stayed behind trying to wake the guard, seeing as he would be the last to see anything. She tried various ways of waking the sleeping guard up, she tried calling his name, shaking him yet nothing seemed to work, in frustration she decided slapping him could do the trick.

"Wake up you fat son of a bitch" she said heatedly before hitting him again.

"That's not going to…" Chris paused when the guard starts stirring. "Work" he added lamely.

" The footage is gone" Leon said angrily

Chris and Skylar give each other a worried look before turning to Leon, before he could continue two guards enter the room informing them that the president would like to talk to all three of them.

The trio all agreed and followed the two men into the office.

"Thank you for joining us. I called all three of you in here because I trust you with my life and I need that if I'm going to find what was missing"

"What was it exactly sir?" Chris asked.

"It's a drug that is going to help us insure the life of millions by making them immune to viruses. If it were to get in the wrong hands they could use it against us by making it into a virus that doesn't have a vaccine. I need you three to find it. The U.S.A is counting on it."

"We'll get the job done sir" Chris said.

"You are dismissed" the president said.

They all glanced quickly at one another shaking their head as if making an agreement.
