Prologue: The Wrath of Thrawn

The damage done to this place, the battle that was fought here history in the making, remnants of the Devourer stood abandoned and left untouched, this would be an opportunity, thought Charlotte, no not an opportunity but an experience.

In the months since the Battle of the Brothers had passed and the story caught like wildfire, the place where the Avatar and his friends fought the Dark Brother had been the hot topic of debate. Of course the official details of the battle remained a secret to the public and the Dark Brother's body was never found.

From the wreckage of the Devourer, a once mighty device that nearly brought a lot of death and destruction to the Citylike planet of Coruscant, it was clear from one thing that the Dark Brother had lost the fight, and was presumably killed in action. No one had dared to explore the remains in the aftermath of the battle.

Few had tried but never came out the same way again, there was still an air of mystery and intrigue surrounding that dark place, so when the leader of the most popular technology company Black Technologies decided to launch an expedition many thought that she was crazy.

And yet perhaps she was, perhaps she wasn't, all that she knew right now, standing here where a history was going to be made, she had the right idea. "Magnificent isn't it?" Came a calm, cold voice. Belonging to a person she knew all too well. And she was right to think so.

Charlotte prayed it wasn't the person she thought it was, but she regretted turning round almost instantly, the voice belonged to a male, obviously however not a human like Charlotte was. This person that was now standing beside her had blue skin, black hair, and piercing blood red eyes. He was dressed in all white and had a calm but uncomfortable presence whenever he entered the room.

Thrawn was as ambitious as he was deadly, studying art and culture in ways to turn them against each other, he was also apart of the Chiss ascendancy a group of aliens who operated inside and outside of the unknown regions. A place in the galaxy few had ever returned from. But hopefully with tech acquired from remains of Sky's devourer it should be enough to power Charlotte brand new Hyper Rings.

New spacelanes that we're in theory going to allow ships to explore the unmapped and uncharted places of the galaxy, like the Unknown Regions. It was also going to be a cutting edge clean energy source Charlotte knew the idea would work as a giant Hyper Ring portal was now currently powering her primary headquarters, the Black Technologies building on Coruscant. "I asked you a question!" Thrawn snapped. Breaking Charlotte's train of thought.

She got the sense that Thrawn was also now studying her. She hated the way he did that sometimes. "Oh," she said pretending that she was too intranced by the remains of the Devourer. "Yes, magnificent. Truly a stunning work of art."

Thrawn smiled at this and Charlotte sighed in relief, "right answer, and you're sure the rest of this device will be sufficient enough." When Charlotte nodded, Thrawn simply turned away but not before saying, "order your men to gather what's left," Charlotte did so and just as soon as work was almost done and the place was removed of any sign, Thrawn chuckled and muttered to himself "Oh the plans I have for this place."

As quickly as the work was finished, Charlotte gathered her own things and left the room, leaving Thrawn up to his own devices. Even though he was sponsoring and was the main source of income for Charlotte. Being in the same room creeped her out. She had to get out of there fast.

She hoped her plan was put to good use and that the Hyper Rings would be great. However in the wrong hands they could be used for so much more. In that one instant Charlotte was now beginning to have second thoughts about using a device that could in turn wipe out a whole planet.

However she couldn't let the technology go to waste. Her Hyper Rings had to be made. It was the be all and end all for company, if they failed, and something went wrong. Well there was only one person that could fix this mess. Quickly without thinking, she tapped a few numbers into her com link, "hey, it's me." She said calling the one person in the whole galaxy that she trusted the most. "I think I have a problem."

Quickly ending the call, hoping her friend would remember her, but seeing as it had been such a long time Charlotte doubted that he would even come. She just had to hope for the best, he had to be coming, after all he was the galaxies only hope should anything go wrong, which Charlotte had a really bad feeling that it would...
