This is about all the casualties of the Battle of Hogwarts that didn't get mentioned by name. It's a little depressing but I sort of like it. I'd be ever so grateful if you reviewed :)

I don't get a story.

I'm a footnote in some battered History textbook.

For Binns to confuse with someone else.

I'm not important enough for a tale of bravery.

Though I'm braver than many.

I fought for the freedom of muggle-borns and muggles.

For an equal future.

I died for that.

Now I'm just a statistic.

A casualty in The Second Wizarding War.

My mother stifles her sobs in the dead of night.

My father jokes through the pain.

They'll never know what I did to free our world.

Though I'm sure they can guess.

I'm one of many.

We fought and killed.

For freedom and love.

We are not proud.

We are not joyful.

We're just dead.

You'll not remember us.

Maybe because we didn't mean anything.

Maybe cause you just don't want to revisit the pain.

We were there though.

And we won't forget.

We may not get a story.

We may just be a number.

But we died for you.
