DISCLAIMER: I do not own the rights to Kingdom Hearts. Sadly, Square Enix does. Although if I did it wouldn't be anywhere near as awesome as it is now so I'm glad Square owns Kingdom Hearts, lol. :P

Summary: This is just a short fluffy one-shot. I was bored and helping with a camp so I decided to write a short SoRiku fanfic. Plus, I'm too lazy to write an actually SoRiku fanficwith more than 1 chapter. Don't get me wrong, I love SoRiku but AkuRoku is my OBSESSION! (^ ^)Anyway, sorry for rambling on randomly XD Enjoy the fanfic and don't forget to REVIEW REVIEW REVIEW! Thank you very much :)

"Riku!"

"Hey, Sora. Why are you outside? It's cold out tonight and you're not even wearing a coat."

"Well I saw you out here and I wanted to talk to you..." Sora trailed off the last few words and made them barely audible as he twiddled his thumbs while standing in front of the older silver haired boy.

"Alright, come here and sit down then," Riku motioned for Sora to come sit down on the paopu fruit tree trunk that they had made a tradition to sit on over their years of living on Destiny Islands.

'"Okay so... I wanted to ask you something..." Sora said nervously as he sat beside his best friend.

"Okay what it is, Sora?"

"Its about paopu fruits... Do they really work?"

"Yeah, when two people share one, their destines become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives, no matter what."

"But how do you know? And how does it work?"

"Well... I guess I really don't know... But, that's what we've been told all our life so I just figured it was true... My mom and dad said they shared one when my dad was really sick. He got better after so the paopu fruit must have worked or else they wouldn't have been able to stay together. Why the sudden interest in paopu fruits?"

"I dunno... Just curious I guess. I mean, my whole life I've lived on this island with the paopu fruits and we've never really talked about them. Plus, I think its pretty cool that just a fruit could do that. I'm even a little unsure about it."

"Yeah, that's true. That is pretty cool, I guess. I haven't really thought about them that much though. I guess it just doesn't really concern me."

"Oh... Okay..." Sora shivered. It must have been about 45 degrees out there. Riku didn't have a jacket on either. How could he stand it? Sora even had a thicker outfit on than Riku and yet he hadn't even seen Riku shiver. Not once.

"... Did you want to find out?" Riku asked warily.

"Huh?"

"The paopu fruit. Did you want to find out if it really works?"

"How?"

"The only way to find out of course, by sharing it with someone."

"... Who?"

"Well... Who did you have in mind?"

"Um... You..."

Riku picked up a paopu fruit that he had apparently already picked before Sora came outside. "Here."

"What if it does work?"

"So what if it does? Isn't that what you want?"

"I-I don't know..."

"Sora..." Riku put his hands on Sora's shoulders and turned the brunette so he was now facing Riku. He leaned down to the younger boy and kissed him.

"I-I..." Sora shivered again after Riku's warm hands left his shoulders and his lips left his own, leaving him to the cold air once again.

"You're cold..." Riku put his arms around Sora. "Sora... Do you want to share this paopu fruit... With me?" The silver haired boy asked, showing Sora the paopu fruit.

"Yeah... I do."

"Okay... Here. Take a bite the same time I do, I hear that's how it works."

"Alright"

-o0o-

"Paopu fruits... I guess they really do work... Right, Riku?"

"Yeah, Sora."

~To be continued~ (probably)

Well what do you think? Not too terrible? I'm horrible at dialog formatting so please tell me if I made any mistakes. Thanks for reading!
