A tear, a perfect shape. It rolled slowly down a light cerulean surface, and fell. And fell. Then it landed, finally, in a damp spot of earth. One might almost say the the single black cloud hanging over the ground was just barely raining. But that would be wrong. Only visible from the air, a frail white maned pegasus with a light cerulean coat lay on the storm cloud, her wrinkled chin resting on her hooves. She looked up, and shouted at the sun, "How could you take her? For years I have been unable to say it. We aged, and we wrinkled, our manes greyed. So many of our foalhood friends have been claimed by time. But I still cowered. All my wisdom was useless. Now I will never get to say it! I will never get to tell her! I will live out my days unable to tell her how much I love her! What have you done?" Her magenta eyes flashing with anger, and tears freely flowing down her face, Rainbow Dash screamed at the sun like some mad pony. All those unsaid words, those hidden feelings. "I love you. If only you could hear me. Twilight Sparkle, I loved you from rain-blow-dry to lesson zero. I loved you, and for all my boasting, I could say nothing. I will not go. Pinkie and Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy. They will go. But I will not admit it. I will not watch them scoop dirt on you. I will not go!" The last words were yelled, as the old and frail mare once again faced to sky. Rainbow Dash sobbed, her face once again buried in her hooves. Memories popped up, a flash of a warm smile, the beauty of those purple eyes, a friendly hug. Dash was no poet, but if she was, she would have wrote a book of poems to those snapshots and the painful emotions that welled up in her heart as the images flashed through her mind. My love...

That night...

A kingdom away, a night colored alicorn stared at her sky, similar tears in her eyes. But her remorse was not that of unspoken love, but unpaid debt, and her failure to state her admiration for a certain purple unicorn. A mare who had die a mere twelve hours ago. A mare who had saved the second most powerful being in Equestria from herself. A unicorn turned alicorn who bore the element of magic, and who had saved Equestria from great threats so many times. But all the goddesses could do was give her wings, immortality was impossible. And so Twilight Sparkle passed onto the next world. Goodbye, my hero...

In the morning...

Celestia raised her sun, and then returned to sit on her bed. Tears rolled down her cheeks, and wished she had spent more time with her faithful student, may she rest in peace. Dear student...

Two days later...

Many ponies dressed in black were all gathered in a cemetery, as a wooden casket was raised by Celestia and Luna, half enveloped in each of their magic colors. Tears flowed freely, as an aging pink earth pony trotted up to the open casket. "I just wish I could throw you a good bye party." She said, as a droplet landed on the purple alicorn that lay peacefully in the box. "Well, goodbye. See you in a year or two." The party pony said, and moved on, letting a grey maned orange earth pony take her place. "Gosh Twi, I guess this is it. Goodbye, Sugarcube." She said, before going to stand with Pinkie. Fluttershy came next. "I... Ummm... I thought you would live forever." She whispered, before rushing to her two friends who had already said goodbye. A white unicorn came next, and put a hoof on the body. "Oh, darling." She said simply, her hoof stroking the mane was her true message. Like the three before her, Rarity moved to stand aside, as the alicorn goddesses slowly lowered the casket into the cold ground.
