Okay, this is my first songfic, and I think that the song fits my story pretty good. I really like this story, and I am proud of it. R/R
On a Bloody Battlefield
When everything is wrong I'll come talk to you

Eragon looked upon Saphira's large eyes, as he lay dying on the battlefield, and Saphira was laying next to him, excepting their fate.
You are such a blessing and I wont be messing
with the one thing that brings light to all my darkness
"Eragon..." asked Saphira
"Yes... Saphira." answered her rider laboring for every word
"You are an amazing person Eragon."

"Thats why I picked you as my rider, because I could see this day coming, and I didn't want to have a coward, you are a brave man, and I have enjoyed fighting next to you, as one."
Eragon smiled with pain painted on his face.

"I...love you Saphira...and...look forward to our...newest adventure."
"And what is that little one?"
"Don't you think...that death will be our...grandest adventure?"

"I am glad...that we die together...defeating our purpose here." Eragon said in a strained whisper
"Side by side." Said Saphira growing weaker with her rider

And so it passed that side by side, on a bloody field, dragon and rider died, side by side.
