This is the begging of Kanna's past in Ties of Life. It is sort of a fan fiction of a my close friend's fanFicton of Naruto. Naruto and it's characters, not the setting of part of the story do not belong to me, but Kanna and Hana do... other characters and the setting of the elemental villages belong to my dear friend.

Kanna was ten years old, living somewhat happy with her family. Her family consisted of: her Father, her Mother, and her four year old sister Hana.
Her parents were having one of their "Arguments" (yelling at each other for doing nothing) yet again.It was causing Kanna to be late for school so she picked her sister up and ran to go and stop her sister off at her daycare.Kanna didn't say goodbye to her parents when she left, she only shouted, "I'm taking Hana to daycare," then left.
When Kanna got to school she spent the whole day practicing drills for emergencies in the village, or so she thought…..
After school got out Kanna walked to the daycare and picked up her sister and headed home. When they walked through the door Kanna realized there was a horrible stench.Kanna let go of Hana's hand and plugged her nose as she said "Hello? We're home!"
There was no answer.
"Mom?! Dad?!" Kanna said as she began to search the house. She turned into the kitchen where her parents were arguing. She looked around and noticed on the ground were puddles of blood."Mom!!! Dad!!!" Kanna shouted following the trails of blood into the living room where she found her parents lying dead on the floor.
"No!!!!!!!" Kanna screamed and ran to their sides.She grabbed her father's hand and noticed that he was just barely breathing. "Dad… Dad! What happened? Please be okay!!" Kanna cried. Her father barely opened her eyes and looked like he wanted to say something.
"What! What is it?" Kanna said panicking. Her father opened his mouth and only managed to day one word. Then his hand slipped from Kanna's grasp and fell to the ground.
"Uchiha….."
