This came to me while I was cooking broccoli, no joke, specifically I was steaming it.
Ulquiorra, Orihime, vegetables and eyes.
Broccoli
"Hey, Ulquiorra. Can I ask you something?"
"What is it now?"
"It's not really a question but I wanted to say it."
"…"
"Well, you know your eyes are green right?"
"…yes."
"It's a really pretty shade of green and I bet a lot of people have told you how pretty they are or what it reminds them of, stuff like jade, emeralds, leaves, stuff like that."
"…what's your point?"
"Your eyes don't remind me of any of those things. Do you want to now what it reminds me of?
"…if it will allow an end to these questions then fine."
"Okay." Smiling at him cheerfully, she said "Broccoli."
"…a vegetable. You think my eyes look like a vegetable."
"Oh, but it's a very tasty vegetable. Especially if you steam it and dip it in a mixed sauce of mayo, peanut butter, sugar, ketchup and mustard. Honey mustard"
"…you wish to eat my eyes."
"Ah, no, no! I was just saying that they look like the exact color of something that looks like it's edible and not that it is edible or anything and I've never eaten eyes before, not even goat eyes so I wouldn't know if they were tasty and…where are you going?"
"Out. Finish eating, I'll come back for the dishes later"
"Oh. Okay,"
The next week, Orihime ate nothing but salads and Ulquiorra was 'convenietly' away on 'duty' when she had her meals.
