The Big Escape

Escape, The one thing Lisbon really wanted to do right now. Sitting in a large meeting room with Cho on her right and Vega on her left the three of them along with a dozen others had their eyes glued to the main screen.

Team building and communication was today's theme, She thought the ones at the CBI were bad these ones were worse. It took up almost every single hour of their workday with only thirty minutes for lunch.

Last week they were outside learning new techniques. She didn't mind that because it felt nice to feel the warmth of the sun shining down from above.

But this week they were stuck in a meeting room watching videos and answering questions about what they saw.

Cho was sitting there with his eyes glued to the screen taking notes. Vega managed to keep her posture but her eyes would close from time to time. Soon a light snore came from her way indicating that she had finally fallen asleep.

A yawn escaped Lisbon's lips as she felt her eyes grew heavy. It looked like she was about to head off for a nap as well until a hand gently tapped her shoulder. Glancing up her eyes grew confused when she spotted Wylie standing there. He placed a piece of paper in her hand before slipping out of the room. With a shrug Lisbon looked down at the paper.

Meet me by the Elevator

- Jane

Narrowing her eyes Lisbon found herself caught off guard; while she wanted to desperately leave she also felt a sense of guilt if she did. Yet she didn't know what Jane was up to but she was curious to find out.

Cho's eyes wandered from the screen over to the note in Lisbon's hands, he nodded to himself knowing what he had to do next.

"I'll fill you in when you get back." Cho whispered.

Lisbon couldn't help but smile at her friend.

"Thank you." She whispered.

Rolling back her chair Lisbon swirled it around and slipped out of the door while the video was still playing.

Lisbon finally made it to the silver elevator doors; Yet when she scanned the room Jane was nowhere in sight. Before she could dwell on it the doors opened and she was pulled inside. Within seconds the door was closed and she was looking into the baby blue eyes of Patrick Jane.

"We're escaping; you've been cooped up here way to long." Jane said.

"Where to? Lisbon asked.

"Let's see... dinner under the stairs or a picnic in Constitution Gardens, your choice." Jane replied.

"Either one is fine with me." Lisbon replied.

"Then how about both?" Jane asked.

A huge smile formed across Lisbon's lips and that was all the confirmation Jane needed.

Holding hands the two of them waited patiently as the elevator doors finally opened. Within seconds the two of them bolted out of the elevator and out the main building doors. The warmth of the sun welcomed them both as they continued running.

Lisbon was finally free and she couldn't be happier, with Jane by her side the possibilities are endless.
