The Beach
By Jeniqua Angel

Jessie sat on the beach watching James play in the water. They were supposed to
be hunting the Twerps but who could resist a day vacation at the beach…especially when
I get to see James in nothing but swim trunks, Jessie though to herself. She loved
watching James play in the water. Splashing around and getting all wet with the salt
water. She really loved the way the sun shone on his chest.

She and James had been through so much together. From Pokemon Tech, to the
Sunnytown Bridge Bike Gang. to Team Rocket. They had both flunked out of Pokemon
Tech and for a while they were both adored in the bike gang. Then they joined Team
Rocket…and from there everything had gone downhill. They were always in trouble
with the boss-mostly because of that little twerp Ash and his Pikachu- and they were
always broke and hungry. The only good thing about their lives was the fact that they are
always together.

Lately Jessie's feeling towards James were changing. She used to think about him
as a brother. Now she was thinking about kissing him and wondering what it would be
like to have James wrap his arms around her and just hold her through a lonely night.
James had always been her confidant and he still was. But now all the things she wanted
to tell him were different. She wanted to tell him that she loved him. To tell him that she
wanted him to be with her forever. That she could never live if he was with another girl.

She watched him play for a few more minutes.

"Ah well, maybe tomorrow," she muttered to herself as she ran to join him in the
ocean water.

I want to let you all know that I'm not a big Pokemon or Team
Rocket fan. I enjoy watching the show but I'd rather watch Angel or Buffy the Vampire
Slayer. I don't have anything against the show but I myself don't think Jessie and James
should ever get together. I don't think they are secretly in love or would make "just the
cutest" couple. I only wrote this to prove to myself that I could be a member of my
husbands Pokemon world. He has written quite a few stories and loves Team Rocket.
He has never excluded me but I needed to prove to myself that I could do it. I think this
short but sweet story does just that.
