It Will Be Held Against You

Summary: What else was one to do when their heart ached? Saying the name of the person you love is suppose to be a comfort.

It would appear I've bcome slightly addicted to writing dark fics. If you can pinpoint where the title comes from then hello fellow fan!

For the If You Dare Challenge.

Prompt: Vague Misery(2)

The moment the name slipped past her lips there were the cracks of wizards and witches apparating around her suddenly. She was already lying on the ground so the stupefys passed by harmlessly overhead though her eyes still widened at the sight of the Ministry members coming towards her.

Why? Why did they have to be the ones to appear?

It had just been a moment that she faltered and gave in to saying his name. What else was one one to do when their heart ached? When it felt like they would tear up from the inside without being near the love of their life? Not that he knew of her affections. She couldn't say it. Couldn't ever tell him. It would mean nothing to him.

That's why she was with Harry and Ron searching for the Horocruxs, to find them, keep them safe. So he wouldn't die. She had made duplicates of each when neither were looking and changed them. Casting a dark magic spell on each item, sometimes multiple ones to keep them thinking they were destroying them. Making each more difficult than the last. She had learned many of these spells from the Forbidden section at the Hogwarts Library. Taking Harry's cloak to slip inside at night.

It was all for nothing now. The Ministry had found her. She gasped in air as tears flowed from her face and to the ground below. There was a tug at her shoulder, dragging her up from where she had laid on the ground. Her fingers wrapped around her bag, drawing it to her, clutching to it as if her life depended on it.

If they found what was inside... She ripped her arm wand from a hand, pointing it at the bag as she wordlessly cast a spell to apparate the object straight to the Malfoy Manor where Voldemort was said to be.

It was only when a stupefy hit her that she remembered that she had failed to switch the last ones out. Both the real and fake of Hufflepuff's Cup where in the bag. Her 'friends' would know about her. They would do nothing to try and stop the Ministry from taking her to Azkaban.

It was probably one of the few times Ministry members saw an unconsious girl cry.
