It's Saturday night. A summer breeze blows past a young woman as she heads towards the local bar. She looks at her watch. 11:00.

A man watches her as she strolls past. His sleek, brown hair sweeps and flutters in the wind. As the woman passes him he speaks up.

"I wouldn't go in there if I were you you…"

"What?" the woman said.

He spoke again. "I said, 'I wouldn't go in there if I were you'…"

"Why is that?"

"Because… my friend's in there… he gets a little crazy when he's drunk." He takes a puff of his cigarette. "This ain't no place for a girl like you."

"I'm an adult. I think I can handle myself. Thanks," she asserted.

"Don't say I didn't warn you," the man mutters as his blue eyes wander out from under the porch roof into the night sky.
