Sowrac has been alone since he was a child; his parents were killed in a horrifying car accident. The only thing he has to remind him of his parents is a pocket knife his father gave him. He was sent to live in an orphanage after his parents had died. He ran away from the orphanage at age 13, to go back to his homeland: Dragonspyre
Sowrac moved back into the house he had lived in when his parents were alive. All that fills his heart is sadness; he has been alone ever since his parents had passed away. He doesn't know how to open up to people because he has no friends to open up to.
He has a strong hatred at the world for making his life take this turn. Why must everyone have someone to love when he has no one? All Sowrac wants is a friend, a friend who will make him feel special and end his loneliness. His greatest fear is that he will forget the love he had for his parents. Ari ran away when she was eleven years old. Her mother had died a few months previously, and her father was a cruel man. He was abusive; he would yell at Ari and hit her if she didn't do exactly what he said to do right when he said it. She was on the run for a year – she survived by breaking into houses and stealing food then disappearing.
When she was twelve, she met the person who would change her life - Nikki. Nikki was not frightened of Ari when she broke into her house. Nikki talked to Ari, trying to help her and be her friend. Nikki told her parents of Ari's story and begged them to let Ari live with them; although reluctant, they agreed. Nikki and Ari bonded immediately and have been best friends for every day of the seven years since.
Alex's family is rich, and he grew up getting everything he ever wanted. This causes him to be very possessive. When he sees something he wants, he won't stop until he gets it, no matter the cost. He likes to lie and joke around a lot, resulting in no one being able to trust him or take him seriously. He is a strong fighter, trained in the arts of kung fu and karate. His biggest fear is not getting what he wants.
