A.N. So this is my first fic for Death Note. It's sort of a prose thing (I think), and it's the thoughts of all four Kiras at the height of their power. Please review! This is a very new style for me.

In my imperfection I was chosen.
Heaven saw my trouble, and its ruler saw Himself in me.
God has called me to do his work.
Delete.
Judge.
Eliminate.
Because of my actions, people will not suffer. They will not stand and watch.
They will see my God and know that the good will not be trampled. The wicked will no longer rule.
I am Kira.
I am the hand of God.

The company - no, the world is in my hands.
That kind of power is hard to come by.
The reaper over my shoulder tells me to kill criminals. That's all.
The notebook's owner is getting ripped off.
I am in charge.
From behind the scenes, of course.
They all thought they were so much cleverer than me.
I don't see any shinigami with them.

I'm on my way to the top.

But I'll tell you a secret: I'm really not. I'm the second. I just help out.
I try to do my very best.
He deserves it.
I'll help him build his world, because how else can I be in his world?
I could not live outside of it.
I am the executioner. To be allowed to kill them is a privilege.

The world is broken, so I will fix it.
Humanity is drowning, so I will bring it to the surface.
They are suffocating. I am the air.
I have stared Death in the eyes, and it has done my bidding.
I am righteous.
I am invincible.
You cannot stop the moon from pulling the sea.
You cannot stop a volcano from reforming the landscape.
You cannot stop the sun from rising in the east.
I am a force of nature, eroding the rotten away from the world.

I am the light of the world.
