This isn't a story – unfortunately.
But I was really hoping someone out there would be able to help me finding a story that I seem to have misplaced.
Edward teased Bella in high school to the point where she left town (I think). When she came back after Charlie's death she finds that the old house seriously needs to be repaired.
Edward (who, from memory, did time in jail) sort of starts helping her out and in the last chapter I remember reading, though there was still animosity towards him on Bella's part he thought that they were getting more friendly.
There was something about Bella cooking and Edward leaning over her shoulder to get a taste. Bella freezes and ask him whether he really thought that there was something more to their acquaintance/friendship….
Someone out there must know which story I'm talking about.
