Faith, Hope, Love: A New Beginning
Prologue
Jimena tossed and turned in bed due to her reoccurring dream…well…more like nightmare.
Nightmare realm
"Serena...no!" Jimena yelled as she watched her best friend step into the cold fire. The scene shifts. Now a girl with long brown hair is facing Serena; away from Jimena. The weird part in all this is Jimena and the daughters only felt as weak as when they lost Catty. They should have felt much weaker because Serena was the key, wasn't she?
Reality
Jimena woke up breathing hard! "Oh my goddess! Serena isn't the key!" Then she collapsed onto the bed in exhaustion.
Chapter 1
Jimena rolled over and groaned. Then the memories from the night before cam rushing back. She sat up and grabbed the phone. She dialed the number she knew by heart. "Serena, get Catty, and Vanessa and get over here!" She hung up and started the shower.
Thirty minutes later she was dressed and making coffee. Then she heard a knock on the door. In walked a vibrant Catty, a slightly worried Vanessa, and well….. a not so pretty Serena. Jimena knew her friend hadn't been sleeping well since Stanton broke up with her a couple months back. " You guys might want to sit down for this," Jimena started. "Well…," the other girls said, "C'mon, just say it!" In one breath Jimena stated, " Okay… well I don't think that Serena is the key!" All the girls jaws dropped. "What…why?" Jimena explained the dream to them. Serena was the first to speak, at least coherently anyway. "No, that's impossible. I mean even Stanton agreed." Thinking carefully before she spoke, Jimena asked, "Did you ever ask him?" Serena thought for a moment before grudgingly admitting that she hadn't.
"Well, I think that I know who the real key is,….. or at least where she is." The other daughters looked at her expectantly. "She's in Roswell." She got blank looks. "Roswell, New Mexico."
