E/O Drabble Challenge word: drip
Spoilers/Notes: This is a tag to Phantom Traveler because since TNT is starting over, so am I and I've been watching Season 1 lately! So, no real spoilers unless you've only seen two episodes (you could become a crazed fan that fast, I suppose!).
A Voice in the Dark
Dean lay in bed until he was certain that Sam was asleep before he snuck out to the parking lot.
He flipped open the phone and dialed. It clicked to voice mail, and he listened again to the message
"... Call my son, Dean ..."
There was something comforting about the voice he hadn't heard in almost two months, but not enough to ease the pit in his stomach or the constant uncertainty he hid from Sam.
A tear dripped down and fell onto the phone in his hand.
He was alive. They would find him.
Just keep repeating it. It'll come true.
Right?
