Im sorry to have to tell you like this, I wish we could talk in person. However I think that is impossible, right now, to do. James and I feel it is the best solution to all our problems. We have decided to take a break from the order, all of you, and the wizarding world in general. Now what im about to tell you is top secret, and we are trusting only you with the information. Read carefully, for I cannot keep in touch any longer. James and I have decided to go into deep hiding. At midnight tonight, Voldemort will be coming to Godrics Hollow. He is coming to kill us. All of us, including Harry. We want to protect Harry as best we can, and we think the best way to do that, much as it pains me...is to fake our deaths. Now I know that this will be very hard to conceal and understand, but Harry neetds to be kept safe, and im afraid that with us, he will not be. Because of this, James and I have come up with a plan. So here it is: when Voldemort shows up, James and I will be ready with Polyjuice Potions to turn us into spiders. Voldemort will think he killed us, as this will all be perfectly timed. We will have hidden Harry in the patch out back. Your comes at one o clock, when you come and get him. James says to wear his invisability cloak just in case. Our plan, if you will agree, is for you to raise Harry for us, till such time when it is safe for us to come out of hiding. At which time we shall come for him. It is most important that no one else finds out about this, James has already cast many charms upon this letter to ensure its safety, and I put a thiefs potion on it as well (envelope and letter). I am reasonably sure it is safe. Not even Dumbledore knows of this plan, James thought it too unsafe for anyone to know, he didnt even want to tell you untill I reminded him of Harry.
