Iruka sighed as he finished another pile of paperwork, only 2 more piles to go. Iruka normally enjoyed work but today he couldn't focus. Thanks to a certain silver-haired copy-nin. That perverted jounin had gone too far, who does that in public? Obviously Kakashi, but why Iruka of all people?

'Maybe because he truly does like you,' Iruka's brain taunted. He still couldn't believe Kakashi would embarrass him like that. I mean really, pinching a guy's hindquarters and then asking for a date in the middle of a crowded street. Iruka had been hiding in his classroom ever since. Anko had found him earlier and teased him. She had wondered out loud if he would take his mask off while kissing and that kissing a mask would be so unromantic and weird. Iruka had just blushed and shrugged his shoulders helplessly.

Iruka would never admit the fact that he had enjoyed the incident or that he had whispered a hurried 'Yes' before running away, no way; he was keeping his trap shut. Which is what Kakashi wanted anyway, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

Iruka grudgingly started on the next stack of papers when he heard a slight tinkling of bells. He looked up and instantly froze as the infamous Hatake Kakashi stood before him. The jounin's eye was smiling as he beamed at Iruka (or he at least seemed to be smiling, can't tell through the mask.)

"Ready for our date, Iruka-sensei?" Kakashi asked, Iruka couldn't help but laugh. Kakashi was nervous!

"I have a lot of work to finish Kakashi-sama" Iruka sighed, "Most of it is your late reports!" Iruka smirked as Kakashi blushed.

"Sorry 'Ruka-ru!" Kakashi smiled shyly and Iruka blushed at the nickname. He scratched his scar absentmindedly.

"Can we have our date some other night Kakashi-sensei?" Iruka looked back down at his papers.

"Sure, 'Ruka-ru. But you owe me big time okay?" Kakashi grinned as Iruka looked up confused.

"How do you suggest I do that, 'Kashi-kun?" Iruka asked trying the nickname tactic, it definitely had an effect as Kakashi shivered slightly before he leaned down over Iruka's desk and stared at the chuunin through half-lidded…eye.

"That's definitely a simple answer 'Ruka-ru!" Kakashi whispered before putting his masked lips against Iruka's. Iruka stared before his eyes slid shut.

Anko didn't know what she was talking about; kissing Kakashi even through a mask was amazing. The kiss ended and Iruka almost pouted at the loss of contact. Iruka looked at Kakashi and smiled.

"You know what? Forget my paperwork, let's go on our date!" Iruka blushed as Kakashi practically dragged him out of the room leaving the piles of work behind.

Iruka would get yelled at tommorow but it was entirely worth it.
