Prologue:

No one wanted any trouble in Roseville Virginia. Certainly not Sophia Bridge. It was meant to be just another day. Just another spring morning where the sun would shine and the grass would grow greener. And that was exactly how it was before six a.m that morning.

Beep, beep, bee-.

Sophia Bridges slammed her hand over the old meant-to-look-wooden-but-really-is-plastic alarm clock. She groaned as her hand slipped from the plastic box to her small I-pod by it. Tugging the earphones stuck in the bedside drawer, Sophia Bridges shoved them in each ear and switched on the I-pod.

I used to think maybe you loved me now baby I'm sure

And I just can't wait till the day when you knock on my door…

Sauntering along the floor board hallway to the lounge room, a small bundle of letters were splattered below the mail slot of her apartment door. She stooped down, holding onto the wet ash towel as shower water dripped, to gather the envelops clearly addressed to her.

Bill.

Bill.

A letter from Bill.

Bill.

She sighed and threw the mail on her soft red sofa. Nothing seemed to surprise her anymore. Everything was boring and ordinary in her life. Her mail was ordinary. Her job was ordinary. Even the smoothie she decided to make instead of toast for breakfast that morning was ordinary. The over priced blueberries she added to it didn't even help either.

Now every time I go for the mailbox , gotta hold myself down

Cos I just wait till you write me your coming around…

Sophia Bridges, although bored with her routined lifestyle, jogged easily around Roseville as she did every morning for the past seven months. Her blonde ear length hair bobbed as she ducked through the under-path towards the park. Although the sun was only partly visible through the dawn clouds, what she could see was the beginning of a bright and sunny day. Not too many joggers roamed the side walk for the first thirty minutes but that all changed quickly.

Listening to her steady I-pod as she jogged past the walls of the Gallagher Academy, she didn't bother looking up at the snobby school grounds, no longer run down with limousines from that night.

Sophia Bridges continued her average morning exercise till she came to the bend to the park.

She screamed.

Only five metres down the track, birds were startled by her sudden outburst and fled from the lifeless, bloody body lying in the shadows from which they were feasting.

I'm walking on sunshine, woooah

and don't it feel good!
