Sirius smiled as he looked down at the tiny baby in the cot, James and Lily stood at the side, his arm over her shoulders. They both beamed proudly, Remus stood opposite Sirius looking a little worried. Peter was stood by the window looking out at the scenery. He wasn't interested in the baby, all he wanted was the power the dark lord could give him, he was thinking about the deal he had been offered.
"Peter what's wrong you haven't even looked at little harry" Lily asked concerned, and also a little angry, her baby was the cutest thing and here was Peter ignoring her baby.
"Nothing Lily, just thinking" Peter replied turning and coming over to the crib, Harry had his eyes open and smiled at Sirius and Remus, but when he saw Peter he frowned and started crying. A blue shimmering shield emitted from him and Sirius and Remus jumped back from shock.
A baby only emitted a magical shield if they felt severely threatened as sensed a great evil, or dark power. Sirius and Remus grabbed their wands and quickly ran from the room; Peter jumped back and pressed himself against a wall. Lily ran to the crib and tried to sooth Harry, while James gripped his wand tightly in his hand and cast a protection charm around the room.
"ALL CLEAR" Sirius called, James dropped the charm and allowed his friends entry into the nursery, but Harry continued to cry and would not drop his shield.
"James I worried, he will deplete his magic" Lily sobbed, James wrapped his wife in a hug and tried to calm his son, but sadly failed miserably, Remus tried but failed, Sirius tried and tried but failed.
The house was checked over and over again, finally they decided that there was no threat in or outside the house and decide, that Harry must have been spoke by something, Sirius and Remus reluctantly left, Peter quickly departed.
Harry at once stopped crying and let his shield drop the moment Peter had vanished, his parents decided that Harry had not licked the company, and left Harry to sleep.
If they had listened to their son they would not be dead now. So remember children know the real you so be careful.
