After Lucy mentioned about a fancy, 5-star restaurant for her first date with Natsu, Gray decided to take Juvia there. If a dense, dumb Natsu could take his woman to a fancy restaurant, why couldn't he? And after he had made her waiting for him for so long, he knew she deserved a wonderful first date. From what Gajeel told him, when they were still with Phantom Lord guild, Master Jose sometimes took them to western restaurant so she knew well about western table manner. So he travelled to Lamia Scale only to learn from Lyon about the table manner before he embarrassed himself in front of Juvia.
But when they both entered the restaurant, the receptionist from the front desk immediately approached them and told them to leave the premise right away.
"What? But my name is on the reservation list!" Gray began to yell, annoyed for being kicked out the moment he entered the restaurant.
"Sir, you are not wearing any clothes."
When Gray looked down, he was shocked. He was only in his black pants. "What? Since when—"
But then he looked up at the staff again. "I made reservation at this hour, but please can you still put my name there? I'll be back in half an hour after wearing something."
"Sorry Sir, we are full. Please come back again next time."
"But—," he stopped when Juvia reached out and held his hand.
She said with a grin, "Gray-sama, that's alright. Let's just grab some Caramade Franks!"
Gray raised his brow. "What? You're sure?"
Juvia nodded and smiled at him, "Yes, that's our first time eating meal together, and Juvia will never ever forget that."
"B-but this is our first date. I want to make it special for you."
She giggled shrilly, and hugged his arm enthusiastically. "Gray-sama is so romantic, but every single day spent with Gray-sama is always special."
He blushed at her genuine confession and nervously scratched the back of his neck. He murmured softly, "Fine if that's what you want."
Juvia was smiling widely at him and Gray smiled romantically into her eyes. He loved her, and he always thought that he had to do everything he could to make her happy.
But sometimes he had forgotten that Juvia herself was love, and love would never demand such action.
Love would give without asking anything back.
Love that would always come freely to him.
Love that would never leave her beloved.
And that's Juvia Lockser. The love of his life.
A/N: I'm tired of writing drama, even though fluff is not my forte (neither is drama actually), but I do hope you still enjoy this drabble.
