Hi All,
Sorry for not writing anything lately. I'm currently rewriting the first few chapters for you all, so here is the first chapter rewrite. I personally think it is much better than before, and also about three times longer. Let me know what you think. Cheers.
I don't own RWBY or Star Wars.
The flames of a few candles was all the light that shone in the dark, showing a lone man sitting in a meditative pose. All the features that could be seen of the lone man was his white hair, his green tinted glasses, and a green scarf hanging around his neck. The man's posture and presence demanded peace, but to the uncontrolled eye, there could be seen a small flicker of pain and anguish that would disturb the peaceful mask on his face, before being quickly washed aside again. The man sighed deeply, before taking in a large breathe, holding it, and then letting it out again, repeating this process.
The only sound in the room, was the clicking of high heels on the polished floor. The unknown presence continued closer to the man, before halting just behind him.
"Now is not the time to be sitting here wallowing, we have a new curriculum to plan for the coming year." The new arrivals feminine voice stated matter of factly, leaving no room for debate.
"I do not wallow in the past, for that is the past and cannot be changed. It is the future I am concerned about, and what it holds. Something is coming, and it will change the future of Remnant drastically. For the better or the worse, I cannot tell. Only time will bring new light to this troubling situation."
Elsewhere, in deep space:
"Ma'am, an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer has exited hyperspace and is opening fire. Shields are holding." A technician called out. Sirens and lights were going off, and green laser fire was bombarding the aging Venator Class Star Destoryer.
"Call in our reinforcements. A lone Imperial Destoryer wouldn't start battle, even to a relic like this, without more ships on the way. Not with their Emperor's death so fresh in their minds." Leia called out, making everyone more to their stations, readying for battle. "We need to give our men on that station enough time to evacuate, then I want it destroyed. Without knowing how many more ships are coming, we will have to cut our losses this time. I don't want to lose anymore ships. We lost too many good people at Endor. Contact Luke, tell him we need to leave. NOW!"
"Yes ma'am," came the immediate reply.
The communicator on Luke's wrist crackled before a voice came through,
"General Skywalker, we have engaged a lone Class I star destroyer. General Organa has ordered a full retreat and to prep the base for demolition. Do you copy?"
Luke halted in his search of the room he was in, looking down at his communicator. He pressed a botton on the comm link activating it.
"This is General Luke, I copy. How can a lone class I Destroyer give you enough trouble to retreat? We've destroyed two death sta-" Luke was cut off as he overheard shouting on the bridge,
"We have four more Class I destroyers ma'am, no, five more. They are opening fire. We have hull breach on decks 12 to 15 and shields are taking a beating. Our forces are 30 seconds away."
"Alright I get the get the picture, on our way," Luke called out, turning to leave the room he was in. Just as he was about to exit the door, a small object tucked in the corner caught his eye. There were two holocrons, one Jedi holocron and one sith. The sith one was already opened, but it appears the Jedi holocron hadn't been. He quickly grabbed both and ran out of the room, activating his comm link again.
"This is General Skywalker, this is an evacuation order. Everyone, get to your ships, we are under attack. The base will be destroyed by our forces the second we have a safe distance. I repeat, all forces evacuate!"
As Luke ran to his X-wing, he began hearing replies of "Yes Sir" come in over his comm link.
On an Imperial Super Star Destroyer:
The bridge of the new Super Star Destoryer showed nothing but order. Everyone on the bridge was busy doing their assigned tasks, and a lone man stood in the middle of them all, looking out into the blue streaks of hyperspace.
"Admiral Prittick, the command is ready as soon as we leave hyperspace, just as you order sir." A young man reported to the Admiral, "I don't mean to pry sir, but the code for the command program is beyond us, what is it exactly sir?"
"Captain, you were given orders to do them, not to question them," Admiral Prittick said, turning to the much younger man before him. "Lord Vader wrote that program himself. It's use no one knows but him. He gave me the order to come to these coordinates and transmit the program just before he died. It is up to us to carry out his last order, not to question it. Do you understand?"
"Yes Sir." The Captain said, standing up straight and walking away.
'Even I, captain, wonder what that mysterious series of code does.' The Admiral wondered to himself.
"Sir, we are approaching our destination." A technician called out.
"Good," the Admiral replied, straightening himself out. "Once we leave hyperspace, raise shields, and transmit the code, then open fire on all enemy forces."
Back on the station:
Luke was running through the halls towards his ship, when his communicator when off again,
"Luke, a Super Star Destoryer just arrived, but it isn't firing, it's just sitting there. Our forces are just arriving now. Hurry UP, we need to leave!" Leia's voice yelled out.
"What do you mean not doing anything?" Luke questioned. Before he could get a reply, a terminal just down the hall from him lit up, showing a long string of code being executed. Luke ran up to it and began to try and decipher the code being run on the terminal.
"Leia, open fire on that Super Star Destroyer, they're transmitting code to the station. A rogue program is executing on all the terminals," Luke called out, 'but what are they trying to do?' he wondered to himself.
"Well what is program doing?" Leia asked the exact same question that Luke was currently pondering to himself.
"I don't know. It's code I've never seen before. It appears that there is more to this station than we knew, as it all goes back to a device codenamed "Project Dragoon". Leia, I'm beginning to sense another presence on this station. This can't be good. It's trying to activate a 'wake up' program of sorts. We need to stop the ship transmitting this code."
Just as Luke said this, the code stopped, and a message appeared instead.
When there is no emotion, there is Peace.
But peace is a lie, there is only Passion.
I will do what I must to keep the balance.

Luke stared at this words, everything around him drowning out. He just stared at these words before him.
"General Luke, we need to leave," A soldier behind him said, halting on his way past.
"Right." Luke said, leaving the console behind him, with those words burned into his mind.
Meanwhile, elsewhere on the station:
The whir of machines stopped, as a lone young boy lay on an operating table, taking small and shallow breaths. Red lights were flashing periodically, showing very little of the small room. The boy opened his eyes, sitting up. He wore a simple grey medical gown, and his hair went down to below his shoulder blades. He glanced to the side where a sword hilt was just illuminated by the red lights. The boy stood up, stretching his back and arms, before reaching his hand out. The hilt flew to his hand, guided by an invisible force. The boy walked to a large blast door that covered the whole side of the small room. Some of his hair fell in front of his face. He frowned as he aggressively ripped part of the gown off, tying his hair back behind his head. Once finished, he moved his spare hand forward, resting it on the cold durasteel. He took a deep breath in, and time seemed to slow down.
A squad of rebel troops, running to evacuate the space station, ran past a sealed door. It wasn't just a regular doorway. It was obvious is was reinforced well beyond what would be reasonable for any necessary requirement.
"Did anyone ever find out what was past that door?" One of the soldiers asked, halting on his way and staring at the mysterious door.
"Nah, not even General Skywalker was able to find out." Another soldier said, coming up to his companion.
"Well, whatever it is, they certainly didn't want anyone getting in, did they?" The first soldier said, glancing to his companion.
"Yeah, or out." Came the reply, as the two soldiers turned to leave again. Just as they took their first step, they were halted as they heard metal scraping metal coming from the door. They turned to look back at the doorway, to see the locks visibly opening themselves on the front of the door, before it opened to reveal t was just one layer of what seemed to be any of the door. It too began to have the locks open up, before the second layer opened as well.
"Call this in," The second soldier said to the first. The first soldier activated his comm link shakily.
"General Skywalker, the large sealed doorway in sector 4 has begun to open. What are your orders?" The first soldier asked, his voice shaking. The very air around them seemed to get thicker and harder to breath. A sense of dread came over the men. The comm link crackled to like, startling the two men.
"Continue with your previous orders, evacuate to the fleet. We're leaving. This base will be nothing but wreckage in a few moments anyway, so it doesn't matter." The voice of General Luke Skywalker was calm and commanding, demanding to be listened to.
"Yes Sir," The first soldier said, and turned to leave, before a voice in his head simply said 'too late'.
The blast door exploded, the remaining layers of durasteel flying at the two men, squashing them under its weight, and killing them instantly.
"Indeed, much too late." A new voice said, walking out of the room behind the blast doors. "Didn't you know curiosity is bad for your health?" The new figure looked down the halls. He could sense the chaos of people trying to evacuate and the battle ensuing around the station that he was on.
'Right, my armour and clothes seem to be the first order of business. Where did master say he would store them? Ah yes, near the ship I was testing for him. Well that makes things easier. Maybe master had a premonition and knew I'd need to get a ship to leave in? Well, off we go then," and the boy walked off in the opposite direction the two soldiers were going before.
Luke came upon the scene of the exploded open doors not long after the boy left, looking down at the wreckage, sensing the two dead soldiers below the metal. A sad expression grew on his face, as he glanced around at the wreckage before him.
"What could have done this? I couldn't even sense what was beyond those doors, let alone open them. I have a bad feeling about this." He said to himself before he set off towards the hangar bays where the Alliance's ships were beginning to take off from to evacuate. 'Whatever it was, I'll have to make sure it stays away from the men and their ships. We need to get out of here and figure this out.' He thought to himself, running up to his X-Wing.
"R2- get it started we're leaving NOW!" He yelled out to the astromech. The X-Wing started up, engines flaring loudly, before luke jumped in, taking off and blasting out of the hangerbay behind the rest of his fellow pilots, escorting the troop transport carrying the rest of the soldiers and scientists that were investigating the space station.
Just as Luke was getting into his position behind the other pilots holding the back of the formation, R2 beeped at Luke, warning him. Just as Luke pulled up on the controls, another ship flew past just below his X-Wing. It was hard to spot due to the dark paint on it, easy to miss it in the vastness of space they were in. Before he could pursue it or inform anyone else of this mysterious ship, it disappeared in a flash into hyperspace. Just as it did, the space station behind them exploded, leaving nothing behind. Luke was left at a loss as he landed his X-Wing in the hanger and the Rebel Alliance Ships all escaped into hyperspace. Hopefully the holocrons he managed to get would have some answers on them.
Back on the bridge of the Super Star Destroyer:
Admiral Prittick stood on the the bridge, unmoving. It was clear he was furious. He had the technician look over the code for any self destruct program embedded in it, and they came up with nothing. Yet the station that was before him not a minute ago was now nothing but hunks of metal floating in space, with all its secrets gone. On top of that, the rebels had managed to escape once again. The same captain from before came up to the Admiral.
"Sir, the technicians have scoured the code as it executed and there was no mention of a self destruct. It seems that it's hole purpose was t-" The captain was cut off as a small blaster was shoved into his stomach.
"Captain, did I not make myself clear enough before that I wanted that station in ONE piece. Not MILLIONS!" The admiral's cold eyes glared down at the younger man, demanding answers that please him, or else he wuoldn't survive this confrontation. "Hurry up Captain, my trigger finger is getting rather twitchy."
"Uhh, Admiral, sir. The code was breaking into firewalls of a seperate system inside the station we were unaware of. It seems it was trying to activate a different program by the name of "Project Dragoon". Once the prgram was finished, it displayed this message sir." The captain handed the Admiral a datapad. The message displayed on it read;
When there is no emotion, there is Peace.
But peace is a lie, there is only Passion.
I will do what I must to keep the balance.
Where there is no light, there is no dark.
There is only
The Force
"It seems to have something to do with the religion that Lord Vader followed sir." The Captain said shakily, looking down at the blaster that was still in his stomach.
"How interesting," Admiral Prittick said, moving the blaster from the captains stomach. It seems he adopted someone of Lord Vader's tendencies without realising it. He will have to study this more carefully in his own time.
"Captain, I want a count of the ships our sensors picked up."
"Yes Sir, already here sir. There was five cruisers, one transport ship, twelve x-wing fighters and one unknown vessel sir. Total of 19 ships." The captain reported.
"Nineteen ships, Yet I only counted 18. That means we have someone else trying to mess with us. A rebel spy f sorts most likely. Cloaking technology? No, sensors picked up on it." The Admiral began rambling to himself,
"Captain, I want a report on what the sensors picked up on that unknown vessel."
"Yes Sir," the Captain said, as he marched away quickly happy to no longer be in danger of the blaster in his stomach.
Meanwhile on the mysterious ship:
The young boy from the station pressed a few buttons and enabled the auto-pilot, before getting up and walking back towards the rear end of the ship. He was now clothed in mandalorian armour, painted a matt black. The same hilt from before hanging on his belt.
"A power source is required for the hyperdrive." The ships AI called out.
"Yeah, I'm getting to it," the boy growled back. He keyed in a code into a small panel beside a hatch. After the system verified the code, the hatch opened, revealing the running hyperdrive, with rods protruding from it.
"Master was one crazy man. A hyperdrive powered by the force that made it faster than a class 0.3 hyperdrive. Unthinkable, yet he did it."
The boy reached out his hand, unleashing lightning from his fingertips. The blue arcs crackled forwards, dancing from rod to rod.
"More power is required to sustain the hyperdrive." The AI stated.
The boy reached his other hand forward, unleashing more blue arcs.
"More power is requi-"
'YEAH I KNOW!" The boy growled back angrily. Slowly the blue arcs began to turn white as the hyperdrive began to whir loudly.
"Sufficient power has been achieved." The AI stated.
The boy stopped his torrent of lightning, his breathing heavier. He closed the hatch, and walked back to the pilot's seat. A small red light slowed flashed to the side, indicating an unread message.
On The Rebel Alliance's Capital Ship:
Luke rubbed his shoulder, sore from being rocked around his cockpit from the space station exploding. He entered the bridge to see his sister, Leia, and the other Alliance leaders already there, discussing the unusual attack at the space station.
"We had been there for months, so what changed that caused one small faction of the Imperial Navy to attack so violently and suddenly?" Leia asked everyone present, concern evident in her voice.
"That program." Luke said walking up to the group. :I could barely keep up with what it was doing, but what I do know, is that it wasn't the cause of the stations self destruct. More likely, the station's security measures are what activated that. The program was breaking through countless firewalls without caution. They were trying to activate something, and quickly."
"What was so important that they threw all caution to the wind? Leia asked her brother.
"I'm not sure, but it was powerful. It broke through the sealed doorway that not even my lightsaber could scratch. I killed two men unfortunate enough to be there when it happened."
"Well, its dead now." Leia said matter of factly.
"I wouldn't be so sure. A ship nearly collided with my X-wing trying to escape. I didn't get a good look at, but it wasn't like anything I had seen before. Whatever that program released, it's loose."
"So it's not friendly with the Imperial Navy then, if it didn't go back to them."
"Leia, we are not chasing down the boy to try and make friends with it. The dark side surrounds him, and I can't sense his intentions. I don't like it."
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend, dear brother. Otherwise this entire expedition was all a waste."
The other members sitting there watched the two go back and forth, before one spoke up.
"General Skywalker, were you able to find anything on the station before the attack?"
"Yes, two holocrons. One of a sith origin, the other a Jedi one." Luke pulled the two holocrons out of his pouch on his belt and showed them to the group. "The sith one is already opened. I viewed it in my own quarters in case of dangerous material. It is simply a message, by none other than the late Darth Vader." He held out the holocron, activating the message.
At the same time, the boy pushed the botton on the console, playing the same message.
The rattling sound of Darth Vader's breath sounded as his image appeared.
"I have become aware to the fact the my master no longer views me as fit to lead his armies, nor to be his apprentice. This is not news that I care enough about to concern myself with. I plan to find myself an apprentice, and overthrown the man myself, before he can find one to replace me. In my search for an apprentice, I found a secret project of my Masters, project Dragoon. It is a young boy, in his teens, in a forced slumber. They key to waking him, the Jedi holocron. Immediately I thought this was a cruel joke of my master, but in my search I discovered that he himself couldn't find a way to wake the boy. It wasn't my master, but his Master before him, Darth Plagious, that had put the boy into a slumber, not long before my master killed him. Unable to open the holocron myself, and having eradicated the rest of the Jedi that could open it for me, I turned to finding a way to break into it instead. I spent many years perfecting a way to break into the program that woke the boy from the holocron. But why was this boy important to my master? This question plagued me as I worked.
It wasn't until a couple years ago that one of my spies found a very old letter my master received from Darth Plagious, stating that he knew of the plot to kill him, and that he has left him his entire legacy for him to claim, if he manages to complete this task. It turns out that Darth Plagious, master of manipulating midichlorians, had created the boy from the essence of the force itself, and trained the boy himself. Apparently the boy contained the knowledge of the entire sith and Jedi orders. How he managed this is beyond me, but it is now clear that the boy must be kept from my master at all costs. So I have put it upon myself to embed the self destruct into the activation sequence on the space station he is kept. If my master does mange to find this recording, good luck to you. For those who are following in his shadow, may hell chance you to the ends of the universe. And a message to my master. You harm my children, and I will twist you precious Empire into one that hates you more than the rebel alliance does now. The entire Navy follows me more than you. Remember this."
With that, the recording ended and the holocron shut off again.
Luke looked to his sister and smiled.
"What about the other one?" Someone else asked.
"That was supposed to be the activator, so I am unsure of how to it would react now that the boy is free. No real harm in opening it now I guess." Luke shrugged and opened the Jedi holocron, which only revealed the same message on the screen before.
When there is no emotion, there is Peace.
But peace is a lie, there is only Passion.
I will do what I must to keep the balance.

At the same time on the unknown vessel:
The boy slumped back into his chair as he tried to make sense of what he just heard.
'So my master's apprentice's apprentice was the one who woke me. A lot must've happened while I was sleeping then.' He thought to himself. Then, like a door being opened to flood gates, the boys head began to implode with information, and the limiters on his connection to the force, that he didn't even realise were in place, were broken. Force energy began to swell around the boy as he sat the screaming, clutching his head.
"Hyperdrive energy cells are overloading." The ships AI said, before all went black for the boy.
Thanks for reading, let me know what you think. I will rewrite the next chapter soon. Thanks all for your support.
