(Prequel to linkedtale. I have returned with new motivation. I have a lot of series and stuff to work on so the other two are on hiatus. I'm excited to show this character but please remember that this has been decided. When the connectors story ends that's when Marie's story begins. Please enjoy. )

She just laid in the bed of flowers for a few moments just to process what even just happened. Ok, so this isn't a dream.

The headache I have confirms that. Still begs the question of how I got here?

The area around her did seem familiar for some reason but still, she couldn't quite place it.

No point just laying around here then.

She got up and decided to have a look around. Nothing too out of the ordinary. Except for that one spot that seemed to light up.

Why does this area seem like a bad spot?

Howdy.

She snapped as the memory came to her. Like a certain yellow flower should be here.

"No..no, does this mean this place is..oh shit."

She ran as everything looked exactly like she remembered. The ruins and one save point. Just like she had seen in multiple lets plays. It was actually much bigger then she thought it would be.

"Ok, let's just not question if this. You're seeing it, this is happening."

Curiosity came and she went and tried to touch but couldn't seem to get to it.

Ok, so I can't save. Honestly, that doesn't surprise me one bit. Still, no need to panic. Just everything can kill you permanently.

"Ok, I can do this. Just be careful. I could just hand out with papyrus."

Still, as she went on, things were empty. No froggets or any monsters at all. Everything was just dust.

Don't panic, ignore the dust and its meaning.

It all came crashing down when she saw the torn up dummy. There was no doubt where she was but this confirmed what run it was.

She sat down by the wall and head her head as she tried to think. Thinking of a plan meant there was no room to panic.

"Ok, so I'm in Undertale and it's the fucking genocide run."

Of all the runs. How am I gonna get by without bumping into stabby?

She sighed at got up to at least try to move. The dust itself was unnerving but still, something inside told her to persevere and learn what going on. The quite was unsettling but the main goal was to at least reach Torial's house.

The quite fills the ruins and the smell of dust and death fills the air. You are filled with perseverance despite your fear.

She paused at that thought. It was almost like her own soul was trying to tell her something. At least this confirmed something to her.

I'm perseverance then. Shit, I have no idea how to work with that. It's always been determination that runs this world.

Torial's home was way nicer then she thought it would have been. Still, with how empty it was only served as a reminder what was just around the corner.

"Well, things seem to be general ok right now. So before I go for my panic attack let's see what I'm working with here."

She checked her pockets for anything useful. Unfortunately, they were empty. All save for a stick of gum that read off as to be able to heal 6 hp. The child took all the items in the ruins so she was basically gonna go into a war zone empty-handed.

Ok, just think. If you can't go out there determined then let's go out there smart. You should be able to remember how this place works. If the kid took all the items, what is it they couldn't take?

Her eyes widened as she ran to the kitchen. As she thought the pie was still there untouched. She quietly apologized before taking the pie. Sure it was hot but it filled up her inventory slots all with pie.

If you have to have anything then have one of the best items around. Untill I figure things out I would like to avoid anything until I think of a plan. Well avoid as much as anyone can when stuck in a genocide run. I always wondered what this pie tasted like. Hope I don't have to use it that much.

"Howdy, you know it's not nice to take things without asking."

The silverett nearly dropped the pie tin as she turned around. Right there grinning was Flowey. He was giving his normal innocent smile. If she didn't know better she would say he was trying to be welcoming.

"If I didn't know any better. I'd say you don't belong here. So now I have to wonder. Why are you here?"

She sighed. Even if she ran there would be no escape. "Your right about that. I've been asking that since I got here. So here is my question, why are you stopping to check me out and not going to your partner?"

He gave that creepy laugh that had always given her the creeps before. "Your new, new things never happen. Your gonna die anyway. It's just a matter of when. So tell me why I shouldn't now, or better why shouldn't I just call for my friend right now?"

She took a deep breath and decided on a gamble. "Well then here's my question. How are you sure this is the first time they have gone this path? Cuz I can quote people like us wouldn't hesitate to kill each other."

I really hope the bravado is actually showing because if this backfires then I really will be dead. Still, better than bumping into the kid.

Flowey's eyes widened as if some nightmare was just remembered. "How do you even know all of this?!"

She shrugged. "Probably why I was put in this world. Not like I can do anything about it except persevere." It was a truth that didn't help her nerves.

Flowey stopped looking scared and just grinned. "You're a useless defect. As if it can make any difference."

Sure, play with my self-esteem. Like it needs to be toyed with by you.

"You know what, just for that, I'll leave you be. Not like you could do anything without the power. Though consider this the last bit of friendly advice your gonna get." His creepy face came and gave her a start. "Assume everything is gonna try and kill you. That includes my partner if you get involved in their mission."

He didn't hear a thing I said. Chara will kill you without thought. Though this might just be for the best. Gives me some extra time.

He just laughed as he disappeared into the floorboards. As he left through a sicking sound echoed from downstairs. It seems the kid was closer then she thought.

So they just finished up with Torial. Dam, Goat mom didn't deserve any of this. Though if I did try to help I would have just been killed too.

She waited a bit till it was certain the kid moved on and headed towards the door the lead to the rest of the underground. There the pile of dust that was once Torial stood almost like a last monument to the former caretaker.

She just stared are nearly threw up in her mouth. "I'm so sorry." The smell was even more nauseating this close up.

Still, she took a deep breath and pushed the door to the cold outside. The smell was still there, though not as strong as it was before. Even if the smell of dust wasn't in the air she could still hear the screams out into the distance.

"Ok, think. If their cleaning up this area then what's next for them. It would be Snowdin and...oh shit!"

She took off in a sprint as soon as the realization hit her. If anyone deserves to be spared from all of this it's Papyrus. That was their next target.

Who am I kidding, What can I do? Maybe to just give him a chance. My life doesn't seem to be doing squat right now. Though Papyrus would be a better exchange.

Despite the pain in your legs from running you persevere to reach Snowdin. Speed increased by two.
